Why aren't they calling it UFC 151? This has probably been asked already. but the 151 event is no longer taking place. So actually 152 is the 151st UFC event, excluding Fight Nights, Fuel cards, FX cards and TUF finales. I guess it would be too much work to postpone the event which would cause all future cards to be altered. I don't know it's just kind of weird that UFC 151 doesn't exist.

Dana said during the press call that they were planning on changing the name to UFC 151 and moving all the number events down 1

Yeah but then he said UFC 152 will be the next event so everybody can remember UFC 151 as the event Jones and Jackson murder...or something like that.

This has been responded to before. UFC twitter has already stated it's gonna be 152 and that Helwani remains good at math. Essentially, they're doing it for promotional reasons.
