Rua vs. Gustafsson

When it comes to LHW, how can anyone really get up for title shots.  Neither Gustafsson nor Glover Teixieira will have a chance to beat Jon Jones.  Jones has truly cleaned out the division of any credible challengers.

I suppose he will have to fight both of them, but I personally will yawn my way through them.  Same holds true for WW and MW.  I will not yawn my way through Diaz vs. GSP, but dominant champions have removed whatever small amount of suspense, intrigue or uncertainty there was in those divisions.  

For the good of the sport, when that level of dominance has been established, moving up to the next division should be the logical and natural thing to do.  Otherwise, you hold the sport back.

Yes, the era of dominant champions is cemented for the next few years. JDS, JBJ, AS, GSP, Bendo. Aldo also unless he ever moves up. FLW and BW titles are the only ones that have the potential to swap holders a few times, but I don't ever see it being like it used to be with the LHW or HW titles being passed around like back in the day.

I think Cain will say other wise.

JDS won the first time, he's gonna win again. If Cain pulls it off and wins, that would really suck. What would we see next, him get smashed by Overeem? A THIRD JDS bout? He won't want to fight his buddy Daniel Cormier. Cain as champ would suck. He could fight Werdum I guess.

Edit: Matter of fact, I'm sure Werdum is praying for a Cain victory.

JDS's next three victories - Cain, Overeem, Cormier.

I see Overeem as the champ at the end of 2013. Just sayin.
