I think the likeliest outcome is Gustaffson by decision. Shogun has looked bad since his last knee injury and I don't know that he'll ever fully recover. That said, I really, really hope he somehow gets back to full form. Shogun has stuggled with lanky fighters in the past (most notable Diabate in Pride, before he took him down and stomped him) and I think Gustafsson presents an even bigger threat than those other guys. Shogun does have a huge heart, huge power, more diversity (if he chooses to use it) and his ace in the hole, great ground and pound. I think kicks and GnP are his ways to win this one.

I don't think Gustafsson will knock Shogun out. One problem that Shogun has that could cause him to lose this fight is his lack of movement. His striking defense consists of remaining stationary and using that muay thai face block where he has both arms in front of his face. He really needs to move around more.

Been a Rua fan since Pride and he's one of my favorite fighters, but Alex should be able to outwork Rua to a decision in this one, but if Rua shows up for this fight we're all in for a treat.

I have a great feeling that shogun is hiding something. He didn't kick at all in his open workouts which lead me to believe he has been working on them ALOT. And plans on using them this fight, I also believe this may very well be the best shogun we have ever seen.

Taking the safe pick but I can see Shogun catching Gustafsson. Maybe Thiago Silva catching him is just still clear in my memory. I think Shogun is the most likely underdog to win out of the top three fights.

I still think Gust will win. i'm just not confident. He will win by keeping his distance on the feet, going for some takedowns, and Shogun will have slowed by the second half of the fight to lose a decision.

It would be great if this were exciting and action-packed, but I think Gustafsson's best path to victory is playing it somewhat safe and using his reach to pick Shogun apart.

Like giosanti said Thiago Silva rocked Gust in the 2nd round... I just see Shogun being a little quicker and more technical than Thiago Silva... Rua by KO upset, but I could be wrong, Gustafsson has all the physical advantages and is pretty solid besides his ground game.
