Anyone else see this news?  Did you expect it?  He fights in June on VS against Javier V.  Who do you got?

Primed and ready for you to enter your pick!

I think it's a good move for Joe, and I favor him to win this fight.  145 is becoming shark-infested waters, though. Fighters hoping for an immediate boost in their career might not all find the division to be so hospitable.

Kenny Florian, Joe Daddy, Frankie could make it if he wanted or ever lost the title, Chad Mendes, and of course Hominick and Aldo - this division is on the rise fast. I love it!

Couldn't agree more with both of you.  This year will be very interesting for that division!

I've never thought Stevenson was that good and I don't think he's going to fair much better in the FW division. I won't be surprised if Vazquez beats him, assuming the match does happen.

Joe better keep it standing, otherwise, he'll have a long night on the ground...

I hope he doesn't lose his mojo like Vera. Judging by his record, it is likely.

At first glance I think Javi might be able to take him. But I'm not sure who I'm gonna pick in this fight yet, I'll have to think about it some more.

I'm keepin my long time faith in Joe Daddy, but with the recent surge to featherweight it might not be the division to run to.  He very well might drop this fight.

I'd like to see them match Joe up with Tyson if they're both successful in their FW debuts.

@skelliher:  That would be a great #1 contender fight if they're both successful.
