I won my fight last night :-) Officially, I am 4-0 (3-0 MMA, 1-0 Muay Thai) now!

Video:
http://youtu.be/jNscwRrcznA

My opponent was a younger athlete with a 7-2 record. He was about 4" taller than me, and quite a bit bigger. We both weighed in at 185 (middleweight). I took him down in the first 30 seconds. Had to defend a really weak guillotine attempt and then proceeded to hand out some nasty ground and pound. He ate a few elbows to the face, and several hard shots to the ribs and face.

I moved into a modified mount extremely easily and he left his arm in danger. I locked in a solid arm bar positioned so I could transition to an Omoplata if he sat up. Instead of tapping like he should have and live to fight another day, he gave the ref the thumbs up when asked if he was wanting to continue - he let out quite a yelp when I locked it in so the ref gave him an out if he wanted. He chose not to submit.

Unfortunately, that meant that I had to lock it in a bit tighter, which ended up breaking/dislocating his elbow. :-/

I didn't feel good about that, but - you don't stop until the ref says to stop. He wasn't tapping, so honestly, I had two choices. Push it further, or switch positions. I had a dominant position without any chance of escape for him, so I chose to push it further. Unfortunately my opponent wasn't technical enough in jiu-jitsu to understand the danger he was in, and he paid for it in a big way.

Either way, it was a good win for me! Check out the video!

He didn't really look bigger than you on the video. Either way, you did what you had to so if it's bothering you, shake it off.

And congrats on a nice victory.

It sucks you had to break his arm but he knew the risks if he refused to tap. Congrats on the victory

Andrea got some good shots. I'm waiting for Brian Frank to see if he got it at the right moment. Here is a better angle from another photographer right before it popped.

Was your fight against Roy Moore at 170 or do we have that listed wrong?

Congrats on the win. It's cool that fighters use Tapology.

One thing I always wondered though is how do you verify that someone is actually that fighter. Not calling this dude a liar I mean if someone claimed to be a fighter like Brandon Vera or someone like that.
