I really hope this weekend stays at 8 events.

Also sorry everyone, but Castlevania is kinda lame.

Castlevania lame? Boo this man.

This is quite a beautiful display for Playstation 1 right here:

@theMMAmessiah no ******* ****, why else would I think it's lame. The Castlevania games I've been exposed to on the PSOne and PS2 are ****.

@benjaminbrandt never gonna happen 'cause the ITL doesn't make me pick all the fights.

There's only 2 events not counted for the ITL league.  It would be easy to pick the final two (I did).

I think it's more a generational thing. Older guys (20's-30's) here grew up with Contra, battletoads, River City Ransom and other side scroll brawlers, which had already faded by the time the younger guys on here had started playing games. I grew up on the NES so my favorite 2 games on it are Super Mario Bros 3 and River City Ransom. While I enjoy Castlevania games for what they are I feel Symphony of the Night is the only one I truly thought stood apart.

@Anik,

Castlevania was epic during the NES, SNES, Genesis, and early PS1 years. I'm sure when you got into games 3D was taking over and, in my opinion, is too bad. You guys missed a legendary era of gaming.

Castlevania is possibly the most ultimate sidescrolling franchise of all time and as someone who grew up in the late 80s/early 90s, it represents many nostalgic memories of when games weren't easy, when tutorials were non-existent, and when you just accepted defeat and hit the reset button only to get your ass kicked again.

You may not enjoy it, but for those of us who took the hours, days, weeks and months to beat these games may have an appreciation for it like I do.

I am more of a Symphony of the Night fan more than a Castlevania fan as well. The one that came out this generation was garblage.

@WishIsHere It is a generational thing, like I doubt anyone on the forums not my age would mark as much for the early Pokemon games like I would, or the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games on PSOne. Then again some games are just timeless. I love Contra, Gunstar Heroes (Sega Genesis version of Contra, only much more epic), NBA Jam and Battletoads, they're ******* amazing games. But Castlevania...never really liked it. Just didn't age well IMO.

Also, I know a lot of people won't get this but I ******* hate how older people always talk about how much better their **** was compared to the **** today. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying, ******* hate it.

My only problem with games today is that a lot of the big budget titles are repeats...I'm sorry sequels that add nothing to their predecessors. I haven't bothered with FPS's in a long time other than TF2 and that game came out of 2007. E3 disgusts me more than anything now. All they talked about were sequels. Also I have never really enjoyed playing the Grand Theft Auto games...in before downthumbs.

The latest one was really good as well. Can't wait for its sequel.
