Six days notice, supposed to be a boxer, and should have been overwhelmed by Mcdonald. Even though he lost, I thought he looked great. Super scrappy, never gave up, and he had every chance to give up. I love the kind of fighter that just never says die. And I think with a full camp we will see him back, in great shape, and ready to leave it all out there again. Maybe against the loser of Chris Cariaso vs Kid Yamamoto or Takeya Mizugaki. Thoughts?

No doubt he has a solid chin and a lot of heart. He got tagged many times in the 1st and escaped so many sub attempts. He's definitely another young exciting prospect.

He's tough was about the only thing I could get from him in this fight. He defended Submissions well but even with McDonald gassed Figueroa couldn't capitalize. I would like to see him get one more shot with a full training camp.

Managed to track down a low-res video of the fight. That was epic.

Nothing against him, but i was much more impressed with McDonald. He was tough for sure, and the small training camp surely hindered his performance. I'm sure he'll get another shot, he did get the FOTN bonus.

He does have a lot of heart, good sub defense and the ability to take massive amounts of damage without really slowing down.

I would say that Mcdonald looked great as well. Only 20 years old hes got a bright future for sure.
