How was that impressive by Jones? And who voted me down!? He was completely gassed by the end of the first round, but went a hard 5 rounds with Machida. The knee surgeries destroyed his cardio, and Jones was gassed as **** too. I'm not just making excuses, I was prepared for Jones to win this one, but Shogun was hitting him on the feet, and would have done way better if he didn't gas by mid first round. If Shogun puts together an impressive streak, no injuries, no ring rust, I will pick him in a rematch.

Don't think Jones was tired. Shogun has never had great cardio, but I don't believe that was the issue. He got crushed midway through the first round after having a monster on top of him.

Nobody is going to have much of a chance to beat Jon Jones.  Been saying it for a while, he's going to be the greatest LHW of all time, unless he can't stay down at that weight.

Maybe it's just how Jones looks to me, but I thought he was tired as hell. I was screaming at my tv because his hands were down and he looked hittable, but Shogun was too tired to come forward with strikes.

Jones is great, don't get me wrong. His ****iness rubs me the wrong way and subconsciously i will always find ways to cut him down, I'll try to keep that to myself from now on.

If Phil Davis looks good against Nog, I'll pick him over Jones.

If he was tired he showed an incredible display of heart, and dug deep to pull of a magnificant display of desctruction. Anyone who can reduce a fellow top athlete down to what shogun looked at the end of the fight is the ****** man. (I wish I could make that period appear atleast 10x larger)

@mino everyone has fighters that they like vs dislike.  when one of the fighters you dislike wins and everybody is gloating around you, it's frustrating.  but what goes around comes around and we're all still buds :)

I thought Jones looked tired in the second round, but there's no way in hell he was tired.  I started to think Greg must have told him to slow down because it was a 25 minute fight.  Jones was more than ready for this fight.  The way he turned **** up to finish Shogun in the third made it look like he was purposely holding back because his shots were no slower or less powerful than they were earlier.  There just seems to be no limits on how good Jones can become.

Shogun said it himself in the post-fight interview... he was impressed with the muay thai of Jones. Indeed, this was the most crisp, powerful striking we've seen from Jones to date. The unpredictable, crazy stuff was there, but the core techniques were on a new level for Jones. Body shots, hooks, low kicks, front kicks, it was very nice given where he was a year ago on this stuff.
