Josh Koscheck @JoshKoscheck1h

#UFC just offered me to fight BJ Penn...I said YES!!!!! Just waiting on him!!!!!! Let's scrap bra?

Okay so this was a tweet from Koscheks twitter account tonight.  Interesting, not sure I like the matchup for BJ though.  Not sure this is the match that gets him out of retirement, strong wrestler may not be a good idea.

I think BJ wins if he comes in shape and motivated otherwise it will be a very long night for him

I really hoped Kos wouldn't have said this until the fight was official. If Penn doesn't come out of retirement, Kos might start **** talking him or making it seem that BJ is "ducking" him.

Bj is stupid if he takes this fight. A chubby, out of shape WW Bj Penn would get mauled by the Koscheck that fought Hendricks...

if he's unmotivated he goes down, i was hoping when motivation came back he would demonstrate it with a cut to 155

Hopefully BJ is re-motivated after this time off.  If he's in top form, he can definitely beat Koscheck.

I'm a huge BJ fan, but I don't like this matchup.  It's just like everyone says, if he comes in motivated and with the cardio to go the distance, BJ takes it...  but I'm worried that he won't come in the fight the way he needs to in order to beat Kos.

This is a great fight for BJ. He will pick Koscheck apart on the feet and defend the takedowns easily.

Don't care about this fight. Koscheck's done. Before his 2nd fight with GSP I would've picked him over almost anybody in WW, now he's been taking beatings that he shouldn't be. Don't care about BJ because he won't care. Coming in at WW sets him up for disaster because he doesn't have to train to make WW. If he goes back to 155 then I see him possibly getting back to the title, but I just don't think he cares enough any more.

As much I want BJ to win, I don't think he will. He doesn't seem to have any motivation to fight anymore, he's been really enjoying his "retirement" and is financially comfortable. He doesn't really have a lot to prove. Koscheck will probably use his size, strength and wrestling ability to wear BJ down and win a UD.

Great fight. I'd be backing Penn if it were to happen. Like others have mentioned though, he belongs at Lightweight. So many great match ups for him there. And at Lightweight he's in shape, a good size for the weight class and a cardio machine. I just don't see the logic in him fighting at Welterweight. The only explanation I can think of is Penn isn't all that motivated for his return and doesn't want to cut the weight. I hope he proves me wrong though.

Id love to see bj come back and get a quick knockout or a triangle choke from being taken down.
