Macdonald has a very bright future in MMA. Tough 2 fight stretch for him though, Condit, now Diaz.

easy fight to predict

Prediction: wrong Diaz wrong Submission wrong Round 2

people are way overrating rory

he got rocked badly my the joker

and couldn't do **** to condit because of condits guard

competitive first round with rory almost getting subbed but wins round with TD and control

rory gets clipped in the second and off his back Rory is terrible. couldn't do anything to condit from bottom.

and will get subbed by nate by mounted armbar

Maybe you'll be right, jaydean, but I'm leaning towards Rory here. Surprised there isn't that much support for him at only 32% picking hiim.

Nate has simply faced and done well against better competition. Its suprising his a dog in this fight. MacDonald may have better wrestling, but nate is too dangerous off his back.

I think Rory MacDonald vs. Nate Diaz will play out the same way as Joe Stevenson vs. Nate Diaz. Gonna be a grappling match with Waterboy coming out on top.

Close one, might still change it, but i think ill go against my initial feeling and pick MacDonald to win a decision. Ofc, diaz will be looking for the sub, however i feel this is one of Diaz's biggest problems; he's too stubborn and relies too much on locking something up, leading to him giving up takedowns too easily; macdonald will be able to capitalize on that.

I'm banking on Diaz not quite having the power to stun Rory and Rory being relentless on the ground, sweeping aside sub attempts.

I'm still unsure about a Welterweigh Diaz, but I also find it impossible to pick a British fighter against a ground specialist.

love nate diaz, like his style...however, Macdonald impressed me ALOT with that condit fight..losing controversially...and nate diaz (like brother nick) has always has problems with guys who are great at top control...DHK, Joe Daddy, Maynard, and Guida account for his only losses in UFC...and they all share a common attribute, wrestling. i think macdonald is smart enough to know this too

rory hasn't done anything to deserve the hype hes getting

im shocked the lines are this close

rorys best showing to date is his TKO loss to Condit. and Condit is a slow starter and has notoriously bad tdd.

I dont remember the last time he was winning a fight from the start. other than Hardy fight and even thats debatable.

and Rory got rocked BADLY by the joker(maybe the worst UFC fighter in any weight class) and has a style Nate is good against . a come forward guy which Rory is.

Nate has better striking
Better ground game
and underrated wrestling/clinch work
and doesn't gas

I really dont see how Rory wins this and reading all the interviews the dude is way too confident going into this fight.
dont think he realizes how good Nate is and is getting a bit bigheaded for giving Condit such a good fight.

Might be my favorite fight of the night, star-power aside and just based on pure fireworks potential. If MacDonald has come back healthy I think he's going to open some eyes on Saturday.

Macdonald will put up an excellent fight, but Diaz's experience will be the decision factor in this match.

Im from Kelowna, but im not going with my hometown guy... I think Diaz wins this fight anywhere it goes, but I can see Rory getting takedowns early and often en route to a Unanimous Decision as well.

This one could be another third round meltdown for "The Waterboy." I think he has the technical skills to control the fight early on, but Nate Diaz is great at wearing guys down and capitalizing late...
