Prediction: wrong Brilz   wrong Decision

Brilz has two losses in the UFC, both by split decision, you can argue he won both fights and has been competitive in every fight at the UFC level. Brilz has impressed me in every fight hes had in the UFC, especially in the lil nog fight where he was able to out grapple him. Matyushenko has been pretty unimpressive except for his win against Ferreira( who hasnt done much in his career exepct dec Herring and subbing Maldonado in a flash kneebar). If Matyushenko wouldve KOed tougher competition in his last fight id have more confidence in him but Brilz has shown me no reason to pick against him in this fight. I do think that Vladdy is too tough for Brilz to stop but i wouldnt be surprised if he did.

That is good point re: those losses. I may have to re-think this one...I hate changing picks on my initial gut...always backfires on me.

Brilz does not have the boxing lil nog does.  It is going to come down to TDD.  Who do you guys think has the better TDD?  I just do not know... but I'm leaning towards Matyushenko.

It's a tough call on this one.  I will have to watch some more recent fights again to analyze this further.  Vlad has fought some tough fights but hasn't looked that impressive lately.  However he can grind it out with most people so this will really come down to TDD and possibly the boxing.  I will have to see Brilz stand-up game again

Everyone talking about brilz being competitive in all his recent fights and his only losses being split dec, are very true and i do agree with it being pretty close with brilz having somewhat of an egde i just cant bet against vladdy in this because he seems like he will win for whatever unexplainable reason to me right now.

I expect Brilz to set the pace and get his takedowns. The only problem i see is that Brilz has had a rather lengthy layoff due to back injury. Nevertheless, Brilz will decision the Janitor.

Brilz looked good taking down Nog who also got taken down at will by Bader. I dont see Brilz taking Vladdy down more than maybe once, Vlad looked good in his last fight

This sounds like a good slug match, but Brilz will show his superior boxing ability rendering him the win.

I'm not sure that I could care less about this fight. Neither of these men will ever be relevant in the UFC and I assume are appearing on the main card based on the strength of Matyushenko's name. Going with Vladimir because Brilz is coming off of an injury.
