Hope Matyushenko wins, simply because his name.  I also believe Jon Jones's elbow owes his face an apology.

I agree with the coin toss. I like where the matchmaking is going in the UFC lately.

They have four common opponents, and they've both gone exactly 11 rounds in total with them, which is pretty coincidental. They both have split decisions against Eliot Marshall, they both have unanimous decision victories over Tim Boetsch, they've both beaten Alex Schoenauer, and they've both faced Lil Nog. Brilz had a close fight with Nog which I thought he won, and Vlad was KO'd in R2. Of these fights the only one I've seen is Brilz/Nog. But surely this should make this fight easier to predict? They're both tough wrestlers that are aging, and they have four fights against common opponents to use to compare them. I've gone with Brilz largely because he looked so good against Nog.

Brilz TDs and wrestling are upper-mid to top level. I think that will make all the difference.

Anyone see the interview on Tatame where Vladdy said he wants a rematch with lil' nog in rio? Brilz has said a few times that he wants another fight with lil' nog as well. I'm hoping the winner fights Nog in rio, I think that fight would make sense. I'd take Nog in both fights.
I'm still wondering who wins this fight, it's really close. I'm hoping it's matyushenko, but I have no idea at this point.

I think this is a fight that will showcase Brilz smothering top control. Brilz strength= VMats weakness. I'm fairly confident Brilz dominates, late sub or decision.

Aren't both Vladdy and Brilz wrestlers. So it's likely they have the same strength, it's just who can apply their strength better and who has less holes in the rest of their game.

People seem pretty torn on this fight so far.  On paper it looks like an even fight stylistically.  If you go by their performances against Lil Nog, Brilz was much more impressive.  Tough fight to call, but I'll take Brilz by decision.

I think that Vladimir can take a decision in this fight.  He has fought tougher guys and can always handle himself quite well.  With the exception of the Bones fight the guys is pretty tough and I think he will grind out a decision.
