@ nik lust no offense, but I am counting him out, he was nearly KOd by big nog, and I think JDS speed and striking will be way too much, JDS TDD is ridiculous. Mir has a slim to .00001% chance to win. Even if Mir was +800, I still would not put a 5 dollar minimum bet on him.

@lopati what r the odds for that? Do they have them up yet?

JDS 1st Round KO. Anyone thinking anything else is delusional. Sorry Nik Lust, but this is a terrible match for Mir.

@oldnick so everyone not picking JDS by 1st round KO is delusional, what a stupid thing to say.

How is that a stupid thing to say? Mir's losses are all by KO. 4 out of 5 of them are by 1st round KO. Mir has alot of trouble taking people down and I've never seen anyone come close to taking JDS down. Does Mir have a chance? Sure, anyone has a chance, but they are small in this fight. JDS will win this... and it's definitely most likely going to be by 1st round KO. Just like Vera, Carwin, Cruz, & Ian Freeman have proved in the past.

I think anyone who actually thinks Mir will win is out of their damn mind. Nog had him on the edge of a finish that would've have placed him into irrelevancy. JDS will smash him on the feet and finish him.

JDS will be too fast on the feet for Mir to land on him.  Not to mention JDS's great takedown defense

Mir has a chance to win, he's got the greatest ground game in the history of the heavyweight division for ****'s sake.

With that being said, @Hybrid is insane for thinking that Mir/JDS is a better matchup than Ubereem/JDS. I'm not even going to bother explaining why.

@Nik Lust Frank Mir's weakness has always been his striking defense and frankly, when you're going against the greatest heavyweight boxer in MMA history you're not going to have much of a chance to win. All fights start standing and Mir's gonna have to work his ass off getting JDS to the ground, what with his impenetrable TDD.

I don't see Mir winning.

their names look like some kind of disease shortened down like that.

Plus Mir is gonna think he was taking love taps from Lesnar after the beating JDS puts on him, and I gotta say I will enjoy it.

Mir IS the next top contender imo.  Mir can win this fight if he gets it to the gound - he BROKE Nog's arm!!  Problem is - can his chin take a shot from JDS before that happens...  Probably not, but will be a great fight if 1 minute or full 5 rounds.  Although 5 rounds is a long shot

I'm more than sure the Carwin that defeated frank mir would destroy JDS, he's all about power, though he's irrelevant, just making a point. If Frank won, it would be the only prediction I'm glad I got wrong.

Carwin is Carwin, he is all about power, he still had that power when he fought JDS.

JDS should get a KO/TKO victory here.

That said, Mir is a top 5 all time heavyweight, and should never be taken lightly or counted out.

I'm just not that interested in Frank Mir.  More interesting is when the UFC will kick cheater Overeem out.

The real sizzle is JDS / Velasquez rematch.  I hope they schedule it on the same card as when GSP comes back.  Build a card worth waiting for. Load it up and give it to us FREE.

I predict Cain will win.

Hey Bill, I don't know if you heard, but they already did JDS vs Velasquez.  It was pretty decisive actually.
