Shogun is a good fight.

I'm curious to see what the UFC does next. They would probably prefer to put Gusto in a "win-win" situation where whoever won the fight they could put into a title shot.  They really need contenders at 205.

I'd enjoy seeing Gus fight Machida, but I'd really rather see him fight a high-level wrestler to see how far he's come with his grappling. At the end of the day, I want to know how he'd do against Jones, and I've seen enough of his striking to have a general idea of that aspect of the fight.

Machida or shogun would be great,
maybe even Phil Davis again,
but i do think Alexander deserves the next title shot, the winner of rashad and Jones,
To me the most logical choice for a fight is Hendo and Alexander to see who gets the next title shot, of course considering Hendo doesnt go fight JDS and get destroyed lol.

Give him a solid step toward a title shot. I say Machida.

I'd like to see Shogun vs Gustafsson and Machida vs Bader.

Machida's style is to risky for Gus.  i think machida would pose to many problems for him and so to keep the hype train going the ufc wouldn't take the risk as Jones only has Shad and Hendo left until they won't be able to sell his fights due to the lack of his opponents.

Look for the UFC to try and match him back up with little Nog again or maybe Ryan Bader.

personally i'd like to see him fight Phil Davis again but that fight doesn't really make a whole lot of sense

I was also thinking a possible rematch vs Phil...but they train together now so I doubt they'd really want to do that. I think Shogun/Machida are the best choices.

Shogun or Machida would be cool.  I still wouldn't mind seeing him fight Nogueira.

I want to see Gustafsson fight Shogun but it looks like we may get Bader vs. Shogun in Brazil.

@gregory and the crazy thing is one could argue that before Machida won the LHW belt, that that Division was one of the best divisions with mad potential..now its one of the weakest...

The LHW division looks even weaker because Jones is tearing through all these former champs

I dont think its looking weak at all, I just think theres a big mix up right now.

Gustafsson vs Machida OR Shogun are the fights I wanna see (preferably Machida) but seeign as Gustafsson is on his little tear those fights arent probably considering both of them are coming off losses. Another option would have been Henderson, if the UFC really felt Gustafsson was ready for the big leagues Henderson could have been a viable option but Hendo wont accept the fight even if it did get offered and for that reason I dont even think the UFC will try to make that fight. Since theres the little mix up right now in the division I see Gustafsson vs Bader being the fight we see.

I don't think he's earned it but the question is who do I WANT to see him fight next: Jon Jones. Then we can REALLY make the comparisons. Finish city for Bones; he's done with decisions. That should be his new nickname, "Jon 'Done With Decisions' Jones."

What I want to see:
Gustafsson/Machida - I think this would be a damn good fight, if Machida wins it puts him right back in the mix. If Gustafsson wins it puts him righttt up there for next in line for a shot imo.

What I think we will see:
Gustafsson/Bader - It kinda of makes sense I guess and its one of the only logical matchups they can make. It could be good, or a one sided beating.

I just don't see Bader being a huge threat in the LHW or being a top tier LHW IMO... Like you mentioned, put Machida or Hua in the mix..Now that will be an entertaining fight and if either fighter wins brings them one step closer to the belt...And of course he could always fight the loser of Evans vs Jones...
