Dylan Deso Wiki

Fighting out of Schuylerville, New York, and trained/managed by Darren Barcomb of Plattsburgh, New York based Barcomb TKO, Dylan Deso made his amateur debut at Xtreme Combat Promotions (XCP) "Cage Wars 3" on 8/18/2012 in Middlebury, Vermont.  Facing  future XCP Featherweight Champion Dakota Giguere of Plattsburgh at 145 lbs., Deso lost by Rear Naked Choke Submission at the 0.38 mark of the second round.

After some time off to re-tool his fight game, Deso returned to action on 2/15/2014 at XCP "The Battle of Plattsburgh 4" against Plattsburgh's Brennan "Flash" Smith at 135 lbs. After an action filled first round, Smith was too injured to continue and the fight was called off, awarding Deso the TKO victory as he brought home his first amatuer win.

Deso would then test his skills by entering the 2014 North American Grappling Association (NAGA) tournament on 3/22/2014 in Albany NY. He was able to secure 1st place in the Masters NO GI Featherweight Division with a Rear Naked Choke Submission of Joe Pomarico.

Next up for Deso was another bantamweight matchup on 6/7/2014 against Kody Allen Murray at XCP "Barre Beatdown  6". Deso came out quickly and secured victory by a nasty Rear Naked Choke Submission at the 2:04 mark of the 1st round. With the victory, Deso moved his record in the division to a perfect 2-0, with both wins coming in the opening round.

Eager to return to action, Deso planned to be back in the cage on 7/19/2014 against Chris Hodgdon at XCP "St. Albans Fitness Expo & Fight Night", but Hodgdon withdrew from the bout. Deso was then scheduled to face former SPIRIT FC Bantamweight Champion Jordon Champion at the same event, but Champion pulled out of the matchup as well.

Deso was slated to challenege XCP Bantamweight Champion Andre Belcarris for the title on 8/29/2014 at XCP "Throwdown on the Fairground" at the Champlian Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont, but was forced out of the bout prior to fight night due to a work related injury.

Deso plans to remain active in the XCP ranks and has his eyes set on the Promotion's Bantamweigth Title.
