Rankin vs. Lindberg

I chose the underdog this time, primarily because it seems to me that the odds for this fight are a bit exaggerated and the upset margin is quite wide: Lindberg, despite being 44 years old, looked more physically imposing at the weigh-in. Lindberg has won 10 of 19 wins by KO of him, compared to 2 knockouts of 10 wins by Rankin. Both have had several starting opportunities but Lindberg stands out for having seen 2 close fights against Ewa Piatkowska (MD in Poland) and Ema Kozin (Loss in Slovenia by decision that was considered controversial). Savannah Marshall who defended her title against both (and managed to beat them both by KO) chose Lindberg to win by KO in Round 5. The women's title boxing fights are 2-minute 10 Rounds, being 2 minutes the rounds are usually more even, but also the short duration allows to win the rounds with precision and connect the punches clearer (many can be overhand or even loopy shots). Lindberg is the power puncher in the matchup, for the part of her Rankin sure of her will try to box her from a distance. Being the fight in the UK, Lindberg must look for the knockout to avoid reaching the scorecards as in Poland and Slovenia.
