He also tweeted that Mir/Cain is still on, and you can still see that on his Twitter.

Who could the chosen opponent be?

Hunt, Hendo, and a Werdum rematch are the only viable options off the top of my head. No, they would not ruin any upcoming Zuffa cards by having Jones, Barnett, or Cormier fill in. Possible signing of Fedor or Brock could work, but it's much to last minute and the current relationships (Zuffa/Fedor and Brock/WWE) wouldn't let that work out.

Brock Lesnar??? He got destroyed in his last fight, and didn't look too good in his last 3. Why would he fight for the title? He's retired, on a 2 fight loosing streak, both first round TKO...

@ wake99: I'm not supporting Brock coming back, but from the UFC's perspective, they could use him at this point. Brock Lesnar is always big money. Not only that, his fight with JDS that was supposed to happen after TUF is back on. There's also the fact that Brock was Overeem's last win and Overeem was caught juicing.

A rematch with Werdum makes the most sense, although Mark Hunt has the better chances to win against JDS.

1. Mark Hunt (peoples choice) chance of it happening 7/10
2. Dan Henderson (he wants a title and says he is game) 6/10
3. Fedor (if it can then wow) If the price is right/10
4. Werdum (maybe after only 1 fight against Nelson in the UFC plus he is on the RIO card) 3/10
5. Jones (with Rashad on the way) 1/10

At this point I don't care who they give it to I just wanna know now lol.

I really like the sound of Hunt, Fedor or Jones... somehow I don't think we will be that lucky but i hope so
