Hopefully 29-28 Busta, but it could go either way.

Not the best performance ever for Bustamante, but his boxing looked slick, and his takedowns were pretty nice (aside from the trip attempts that he had to end up pulling guard with). His ground game looked a little off, like he never found a groove. He couldn't control Menne at all, which I found surprising. Even when he had a few chances to take the back, Menne just stood up. I expect more on the ground from a legend like Murilo.

I thought the first was clearly Bustamante's, Second was Menne's, and the third was very close with a slight edge to Murilo for actually doing some damage early on. Menne got that takedown at the end but did nothing with it. Not a great fight, but seeing Bustamante fight is always a treat, and this may have been the last time we got that.

interesting way to send a fight to the judges.

Wiflet, I had to watch this quite a few times and cannot figure out how it went to judges, but I figured that the referee was only waving his hands because the horn sounded not because ole boy was face down on the mat, lol.

@lopati, yeah his movments are 'break it up guys' not waving to officials outside to call it.
so from a judges point of view all you can do is score it, because the ref hasnt called a finish.
the bit im struggling with is he went down and was out before the ref started running in to split them for the end, just because the horn went after dosnt mean he cant call it,
my memory is blurry here,  but did we hear the horn on aldo vs mendes and it was still counted, what about garcia zombie 2 and koscheck hughes, they were all 4.59 or there about of the round wernt they?
the ref shouldve called a ko, i know it dosnt matter much as the right guy won anyway, but itd be such a robbery to ko a guy, wait for him to wake up and then loose on points

Wiflet, I couldn't agree more. I watched that segment probably a dozen times to see when the horn sounded and try to watch the refs hands and for the first few I thought he was waving the fight, but then figured that he was just trying to call an end to it all.

if Dude got KO'd out cold in the final round and the strike was started before the bell that's a 10-6 on my scorecard, I don't care if Spratt was down 20-17 heading into the final round.  He'd win on my card.

In boxing, you have to pass the standing 8 count even if you get knocked down at the bell in the final round.  This is an example where MMA needs that.  Spratt should've won by 3rd round KO 5:00.

we need a ranking for favorite NON-KO KO's

Kpro, as usual spot on with the assessment.  I was shocked they said UD and not KO.
