I think we all have been noticing the bad results (e.g. UFC 144) of asian fighters...

In the last 20 fights - they have a record of 6/14

What do you think are the reasons...

Inferior competition in Japan.
Problems adapting to the cage.
Travel (according to Phil Baroni, it's harder to go from Japan to the US than it is to go from the US to Japan).

that fighter who beat daley looked pretty good and i hate to say it but biased judging. quite a few asians have been screwed over by judges.

Because they just flat out aren't as good. It's pretty simple.... they lose because they are fighting better fighters. And that travel thing Baroni throws out there is a crock of ****, please try and explain how it would be harder to travel the same exact distance, just in one you're traveling east and the other west. Idiotic.

hioki is 2-0 in the ufc so lets see how many wins he gets. they do need to practice in an octagon thats for sure.

Personally, I've traveled to the Eastern hemisphere before and I know jet lag hit harder when I went from there back here. That's what happened to me personally, I don't know if it's different for others or not.

I have no problem with you posting what another person said, I was saying his claim is idiotic. I can see perhaps a minor amount of more jet lag perhaps but these guys should be getting into these countries like 4 or 5 days in advance it's not something that would affect them a week later still.

nobody considers shalorus and gamburyan to be asian fighters.

trying to come up with a counter-argument based on world history and geopolitical oddities is a waste of time... because, again, nobody considers shalorus and gamburyan to be asian fighters.
