@foppa420
I mean I guess he could wrestle, but everyone thought Fernando was going to do that to Almeida too and we see how that turned out. Idk maybe I'm wrong, but I'll definitely be putting a little money on Almeida at those odds

@devin he looked competent on the ground but there’s two things to consider. 1. His opponent was not a good grappler at all, legit has next to no ground game and 2. His opponent turned out to be pretty fraudulent. I don’t rate Budka highly but he always is in good shape, always has good cardio, and will chain wrestle Cesar for 3 rounds no problem. I know he has the kickboxing accolades but Cesar doesn’t look that insane for a guy who beat poatan (11 years ago btw, not as crazy as it sounds). He rarely throws leg kicks and has 0 lateral movement. If a striker with limited ground game was able to get him down so easily, then I think a guy who wrestled d2 shouldn’t have many issues; I mean legit the only thing Budka knows how to do is chain wrestle

I think Cesar is a massive bust. Hes already 36 and was declining when he left kickboxing. Definitely surprised me on dwcs but Fernando turned out to be a massive bust. Also, there was a headbutt round 2 that went unchecked; Fernando stopped trying to win and pulled guard after this happened

I think the fact that these odds have already completely flipped from when they opened tells the story. When I saw Budka open as a dog I placed a bet immediately.

@foppa yeah I’ve been wanting to fade Cesar ever since he got a ufc contract but I think this is the perfect spot. Dylan is gonna be stuck to him like glue for 15 minutes

@AyyLmaonnaise
him being 36 doesn't scare me as much as it does you two I guess. At middleweight that's not a deathnote like it is in the lighter weight classes. And I don't recall Fernando getting him down easily like you said. I remember Almeida being on top and commentators specifically commenting on how impressed they were with his grappling and how he was doing all the little details right. I guess we'll see how it plays out. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong many more times lol

I mean he doesn’t have the same milage your average 36 year old does, but he’s still not some fresh fighter. Hes well past his athletic prime and has a lot of milage from KB (almost 15 years iirc). And I would recommend rewatching the dwcs fight; I originally had the same thoughts. I was shocked to see how competent he was on the ground and his cardio held up well. In rewatch tho, he didn’t impress me at all. Fernando doesn’t have a ground game & made tons of mistakes which allowed Cesar ti get up. Fernando is also clueless off of his back so that’s why Cesar was able to dominate him there. I also think that headbutt doesn’t get talked about enough; Fernando stopped all competitive effort and went into survival mode after the head clash halfway through round 2. You can see him get stunned & immediately pull guard and panic . I highly doubt he ends up on top against Budka, who can actually wrestle and doesn’t accept being on bottom

@AyyLmaonnaise
I just rewatched it yesterday and I came away impressed. I think part of that is I rate Fernando a little higher than you do too. He was an LFA champ going into that fight. That means something. And even before the headbutt Almeida was winning pretty handily. I don't expect Almeida to end up on top of Budka, I just expect him to be able to negate most of Budka's chain wrestling and give him a hard time on the feet.

I rated Fernando very highly before that, I thought he was one of the best guys of the season. But, that fight and his fight after that against bekoev showed he’s not who I thought he was

Maybe he can keep it standing but I really don’t know. He was getting taken down really easily. I think it’s almost important to note that was Fernando’s first time ever grappling on tape. He was known as a striker and stood with everyone else

I understand that you have been wrong before. But I have not been.

Don't listen to all these guys trying to sell you Budka who is truly awful. Truly awful.

He trains at Xtreme couture and will have all the Brazilian and American vitamins.

Also Budka (who is a fraud) is coming in on short notice.

This will be a fatality.

@rah I never said budka was good but almeida really doesn’t seem that special. He was a good kickboxer but not an elite one and while I was impressed he beat a real fighter, Fernando has planned out to not be that good. I get why everyone is on almeida but let’s see how he does against someone who can actually wrestle and won’t quit when almeida gets up

You have an opinion but you consider both sides.

Unlike some of these imbeciles who can only see one side of the story, think they are always right and are completely delusional and arrogant about their ridiculous opinions. Can't stand people like that.

Really excited for Valter Walkers UFC debut, He has some decent wins but it’s easier to get signed if you’re even somewhat decent HW, Valter like his brother his athletic freak but I ain’t sure about his chin cause haven’t watched many of his fights, if he has skill sets and athleticism similar to his brother while having a decent chin I can see him making it to top 5 at least, we need MORE athletic HW plz, Lukasz isn’t anything special he won a fight At DWCS while being juiced and lost a clear robbery to Buday, if he losses here he might be done

Rah is the Colby Covington of tapology. Everyone hates on his persona and character he plays, but in real life he's probably a nice guy.

Hernandez vs. Jackson
Alexander Hernandez, TKO, R3
Hernandez should pay off as a favorite - he can chin Jackson on the feet and/or rag doll him in wrestling. The problem is he's so inconsistent that he can get TKO'd by Billy Q in one fight and go to war with Jim Miller in the next. Jackson has the kind of attritional style and lanky, unorthodox striking that seemed to give Hernandez issues against Bill Algeo. Overall though, as long as Hernandez doesn’t somehow get bamboozled into a sub, he should find a way to win.
