Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 2145th

Ribas vs. Namajunas
Amanda Ribas, SUB, R3
Just dont

Williams vs. Tafa
Justin Tafa, TKO, R1
Tafa has genuinely never fought a grappler, he could have amazing TDD or awful TDD, the fight kind of depends on which the answer is. Tafa will have the advantage on the fight, Williams on the ground, all depends on if he can get Tafa there.

Shahbazyan vs. Dobson
Edmen Shahbazyan, DEC
same as the Dalcha fight, step down in competition for Edmen, where he will dominate and then be fed to another wolf.

Talbott vs. Saaiman
Payton Talbott, DEC
50/50

Quarantillo vs. Zalal
Youssef Zalal, DEC
Love Billy Q but he relies heavily on his cardio and Zalal can hold his own in that department, the youth on Zalal is also of note as he was only 23-26 over his initial UFC run, and seemed to have done a lot of growth since then., meanwhile Billy Q is getting up there in age for the Featherweight division. Think fight will be razor close whichever way it goes.

Pajuelo vs. Padilla
Luis Pajuelo, DEC
Think Pajuelo is going to walk down Padilla and just hit the heavier shots, don't think the power from Padilla is enough to deter Pajuelo either, if you haven't watched Pajuelo's other fights i would highly recommend, he is crazy fun.

Ogden vs. Holobaugh
Kurt Holobaugh, TKO, R3
Really impressed by both of these recently, but think Kurt has looked great since being cut and fought high level competition during his second stint.

Ramos vs. Erosa
Julian Erosa, SUB, R3
Really like Ramos but think this is a bad matchup for him, Erosa could be washed but i think his last performance comes from the short period inbetween getting knocked out but could see Ramos catching him early but think Erosa probably picks up the pace and finishes late.

Johns vs. Gibson
Cody Gibson, DEC
Not a fan of Johns, who has just popped for steroids, just feel Gibson will be a lot busier than Johns and win on activity.

Nguyen vs. Errens
Jarno Errens, DEC
Think Errens will outpoint Nguyen who is a bit ploddy, while Errens has a lot more movement and fought better opposition.

Rendon vs. Zheleznyakova
Darya Zheleznyakova, DEC
Think Darya is going to win on damage, she seems to hit pretty hard for the division, potentially weak on the ground but don't think Rendon is really the one to take advantage.

Severino vs. Lima
Igor Severino, DEC
Think these two will have a decent scrap with Lima winning on the feet slightly but Severino will be more impactful on the ground

Usman vs. Parkin
Mick Parkin, TKO, R3
Think Parkin is going to pick Usman apart from distance, Don't think Usman will be able to get his takedowns, think Parkin will stuff then weigh heavy on top and takeover late.

So is Dobson a S tier durable fighter who at the very same time very mid at everything else??? Then I get why so many people are picking Edmun by decision. if your fighting Edmun your either be bad enough that Edmun can finish you early, or good enough to survive the early going and win the fight.

Only reason Edmun not in the top 5 right now is he’s cardio, it such a hindrance to his game, Edmun has to be a lot better then his opponent to win

Rose-Ribas

Question is: can Ribas keep the pace that she has for 5 rounds and go 5 rounds with that pace without Rose eventually catching her with something good? I don’t see Ribas finishing Rose so her sole path to victory is a decision. Rose can point fight and potentially get a a KO/TKO

Ribas vs. Namajunas
Rose Namajunas, DEC
Not confident in this pick at all considering Namajunas looked kind of ******* terrible at flyweight last time, to my memory. But she does have significantly more experience going the five rounds which is why I favor her here.

Williams vs. Tafa
Karl Williams, DEC
Gotta go with Williams on this one. Wouldn't be surprised if Tafa got a big KO or something

Shahbazyan vs. Dobson
AJ Dobson, DEC
I can't bet on Shahbazyan anymore man.

Talbott vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, DEC
I gotta think that Saaiman is gonna come back with a vengeance after his own 0 got taken. He also has more experience in the UFC despite being younger.

Quarantillo vs. Zalal
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
I'm ride or die with my boy Billy Q

Pajuelo vs. Padilla
Fernando Padilla, DEC
Six inch reach advantage what the ****

Ogden vs. Holobaugh
Kurt Holobaugh, DEC
Holobaugh with more momentum coming into this fight

Ramos vs. Erosa
Ricardo Ramos, TKO, R2
Erosa's been knocked out in his last two, doesn't sound good to me

Johns vs. Gibson
Miles Johns, TKO, R2
Gibson is just done man.

Nguyen vs. Errens
Steven Nguyen, TKO, R2
Invest in some Nguyen stock today boys

Rendon vs. Zheleznyakova
Montserrat Rendon, DEC
Eh. Don't care that much

Severino vs. Lima
Igor Severino, DEC
two undefeated Brazilian prospects? Jesus Christ. Gonna go with the Chute Boxe guy though since it could be a good underdog pick

Usman vs. Parkin

I actually don't think Rose looked bad against Fiorot at all. She was starting to really come on in the 3rd round after being just a step behind Fiorots footwork and volume through the first 2.  That was also the first time she'd fought a 3 round fight in awhile, so I think the pacing might have thrown her off.

Fiorot definitely a lot more technical than Ribas but I think it's fair to wonder how Ribas will approach this fight. Will she fight as aggressive knowing she has to fight 2 additional rounds?

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 6 Perfect, 690 Points   |   Tied for 40th with 6 others

Nguyen vs. Errens
Steven Nguyen, DEC
Nguyen doesn't look like anything special. He just seems like the average Contender Series guy to me. He may have got the finish and the contract, but he took his lumps in that fight too. Errens is 0-2 in the UFC, but he at least looks like he belongs here. He's exciting and comes ready for war. This one in is a toss up for me. Taking a guy that's 0-2 in the UFC doesn't excite me. Not extremely confident in taking an average Contender Series alum either. Taking Nguyen for now, but might flip this pick a few times.

Rendon vs. Zheleznyakova
Darya Zheleznyakova, DEC
Darya's one blemish on her record was a questionable stoppage 1 second before the round ended. Earlier in that round she was doing a lot of damage on the feet and having her moments too, so it wasn't a one-sided loss by any means. I think she's the more violent girl here and that violence is gonna show on Rendon's face and get her the decision win, possibly even a finish.

Severino vs. Lima
André Lima, TKO, R2
Severino looks very green to me. He's young, at just 20, so he has time to grow, but I'm not sure he's ready for the big leagues. Lima though? This kid looks like a stud. Super talented kickboxer with a solid wrestling/ground game as well. He looks like the whole package. His opponent on the Contender Series basically ran from him for 15 minutes and we didn't get to fully see what he's capable of. This kid Severino is gonna come ready for a fight and I think Lima makes a statement.

Usman vs. Parkin
Mick Parkin, DEC
UFC took two of the most average, boring heavyweights that everyone said they were gonna fade in their next fight and pitted them against eachother. Not sure who wins this tbh, but I'll take Parkin just off of a gut feeling.

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 3834th

Ribas vs. Namajunas
Rose Namajunas, DEC
Bad main event, both too small for 125 imo. Rose takes it by winning the striking battle

Williams vs. Tafa
Justin Tafa, TKO, R1
Williams is definitely better technically, but I don't think he is good enough to where he can win this fight by relying on it. I think Tafa lands a big shot at some point in the late first

Shahbazyan vs. Dobson
Edmen Shahbazyan, TKO, R1
Ez work. Should be a heavier favorite

Talbott vs. Saaiman
Payton Talbott, DEC
Neither guy is very impressive to me, but I like Talbott's survivability, and I think he is a better striker.

Quarantillo vs. Zalal
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
Billy Q wins a dogfight by decision imo

Pajuelo vs. Padilla
Luis Pajuelo, DEC
I don't think Padilla is very good tbh

Ogden vs. Holobaugh
Kurt Holobaugh, DEC
Holobaugh is very underrated

Ramos vs. Erosa
Ricardo Ramos, TKO, R2
I don't trust Ramos very much but I think he wins this one

Johns vs. Gibson
Cody Gibson, DEC
I think Gibson is very good honestly, and I think his experience and physical tools get him the win here.

Usman vs. Parkin
Mohammed Usman, DEC
Horrific

have to lean rose because she's getting a smaller 125 opponent here. It's like a 115 fight with less cut.
