Surprised that Prates isn't a bigger favorite after knocking out Charles Oliveira in the first round.

I'm a little bit shocked that Cuamba has been bet down a little. Thought Oki at -200 was a steal. Just goes to show I can rarely predict line movement with any confidence as I'm frequently left scratching my head.

Well the thing about weight misses by 0.25 pounds is that the 1 pound tolerance is there for exactly the reason that the fighters can „miss“ weight by 1 pound for whatever reasons without getting penalized for it. If people complain like „But it was only 0.25 pounds“ and the UFC would let it slide then fighters would aim for 156.25 pounds. And then someone weighs in at 156.5 pounds, then it’s only 0.25 pounds over again and the cycle repeats and it goes on and on and on.

So if someone misses weight by technically 0.25 pounds and weighs in at 156.25 pounds then sorry, you missed weight, buddy.

Well said, that's exactly the point I was making. Any miss is a big deal or you end up just moving the goal post further and further. Fighters need to keep in mind that the target is the actual weight, not the weight plus the extra 1 lbs. If they want to get away with being a pound over they should be cognizant of the risk.

Yeah I don't think Cuamba looks bad or anything but a few days notice and up a weight class. I just think Oki looks like an incredibly slick striker and not bad in the grappling department either. Cuambas way to victory would be relentless grappling attacks because Oki can get taken down but I think he would have to put on continous pressure because Oki will scramble back to his feet and make Cuamba put a lot of energy into it.

@gliese58i
I do think Oki wins due to Cuamba just fighting a week ago and taking this fight on a few days notice up a weight class. However, his path to victory isn't necessarily to wrestle Oki. I actually think his boxing is better than Oki's. He's got some lightning fast hands and he's pretty light on his feet too. I think Oki is going to be the one using that size advantage and wrestling if he starts to lose the striking exchanges.

Hyder Amil and Fernie Garcia has the wrong odds on Tap. Had me fooled there as I just started capping it and was thinking I had found an incredible bet in Amil +180 based on Tap's figures. Looking through all my bookies I think the odds got mixed up on Tap and it should be reversed.

I think both of them are very fast. I remember I was checking the playback speed of my video for both of them to make sure it wasn't running at 1.25x speed.
