Gonna for sure go with Gomi now but I will not count out the late replacement.

i haven't been too impressed with gomi since his first ufc bout. he's faced some good competition though. mitsuoka likes to submit people, and that's where gomi isn't his strongest. i don't see mitsuoka trying to stand with him. he'll take it to the ground and submit him

Japanese newcomer Eiji Mitsuoka is a legit guy, he did beat Gleison Tibau, Brian Cobb and Joachim Hansen in the past but...

Takanori Gomi will prevail with his Sprawl and Brawl style and with that, avoid Eiji's ground game, which is his strength.

I see a TKO in round 1 or 2...

PS: I don't think that 93% / 7% represent the real difference between this fighters.

Taking Gomi just cause I would hate to see the Japanese MMA sensation get his walking papers in his country of origin.

I'm surprised Gomi's being picked by so many people, he's way past his best days. I see Mitsuoka getting the sub at some point

I am having some second thoughts about this one. Mitsuoka is a submission guy, which is Gomi's weakness. I've actually seen a Mitsuoka fight before, I had to look at his record to realize that. Mitsuoka has never really been legitimately KO/TKO'd either. I think this is much closer than people think, I just might change my pick.

Mitsuoka has a way better chance than 8%. This is a toss-up for me... thinking about changing it to Mitsuoka.

I'm picking Gomi, but I won't be entirely surprised if Mitsuoka pulls this off.  Names like Gleison Tibau, Joachim Hansen are in his win column.  He's no pushover, and Gomi isn't exactly the killer he once was.

This is the co-main? That's dumb. Does Gomi win decisions? I can't remember him doing so for a while. Hmm Mitsuoka isn't a poor striker. Has good Takedowns. That's Gomi's weakness. Outside of Griffin Gomi hasn't really showed any skills. Getting mopped up in nearly every fight in the UFC. But Mitsuoka only beats cans. Gomi KO round 2. Alrighty.

If Gomi can keep the fight standing, he has a significant advantage. I'm thinking that he will be able keep it on the feet.

I am worried about this one. I don't think Gomi even trains anymore. I hope he can pull this off though, and hopefully being in Japan will make him want to win.
