I totally get where you're coming from but I'll take crappy fights over no fights! There's some super stacked cards lately too so I think we're getting quality and quantity!

Completely agree with your comment about Anders and Pickett.

Anders across his UFC career has performed at a +115 level whereas Pickett has performed at a +267 (counting his 3 contender series fights as being under the UFC umbrella).

So even though Pickett at +300 is only barely better odds than what his actual performance has been, you have to be out of your mind to play Anders at -400.

Also yeah, why is Pickett still in the UFC? He's lost 4 in a row, 3 of those by stoppage and when he wins it's a boring decision win, he's not entertaining. The only reason he got 3 chances in the Contender series to finally make it in is that he looks like a beast physically. That's about all he's got going for him.

Schnell pull out machine may not make it too saturday. Erceg super game, good output wouldn't be surprised if it breaks schnell. ITD on erceg.

Anders going to a Split Dec against J. Park fairly impressive if you ask me. Not saying it’s making him an elite fighter here. But, it’s really hard for me to pull the trigger here on Pickett. Idk how he could possibly win? Grind out a Dec with takedowns? Just trying to think here… appears to be another spot I might not bet at all. Over 1.5 or 2.5 might be my only spot here. But again maybe Anders stops him early. 🤷🏽‍♂️

RADZHABOV vs ABDUL-KAREEM AL-SELWADY

Predictions: 9 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 605th

Radzhabov R1 TKO
I am not fully convinced that Abdul is a high class fighter. I can’t get over his knock out losses against complete bums. One of his losses it appeared the guy barely hit him and he went down. Radzhabovs last loss was disappointing to see, but was not surprised . (I actually bet against him). He got caught by a fighter that is better than him everywhere. I don’t believe Abdul is actually a better fighter here. Both fighters have shown potential chin issues. However, I feel like Radzhabovs KO losses were nowhere near as bad as Abdul’s were. I will take the under dog in this spot. Give me the more experienced fighter with much better resume at +140.
Ps… would not be shocked to see Radhabov spamming take downs after he got chinned last fight.

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 380 Points   |   Tied for 3975th

Rozenstruik vs. Gaziev
Shamil Gaziev, SUB, R1
Wasn't overly impressed with Gaziev's last performance, but he should be able to take biggie boy down easily enough.

Petrino vs. Pedro
Vitor Petrino, TKO, R1
Still don't know how Turkalj went the distance with Petrino... In my opinion Petrino's TWO wins over Roldolfo Bellato are better than Perdo's UFC career.

Perez vs. Mokaev
Alex Perez, DEC
Man I'll have to rewatch the tape on these guys. I even like Mokaev but Perez might be too much too soon for the youngin (This pick may be subject to change and/or humiliation)

Nurmagomedov vs. Almakhan
Umar Nurmagomedov, SUB, R1
Who?

Schnell vs. Erceg
Steve Erceg, DEC
Name on the resume for Erceg career

Anders vs. Pickett
Eryk Anders, DEC
I think this is actually a competitive fight. Unimpressed with both fighters and think they're both cannon fodder anyways but this match up is enticing

Klein vs. Cunningham
Ľudovít Klein, TKO, R2
Klien's pretty good and I've never heard of Cunningham before... more tape to watch woohoo :/

Basharat vs. Zahabi
Javid Basharat, DEC
Javid's good and doesn't score as well as his Brother on DK. So yeah, another Boring Bashy Bro decision

Duncan vs. Ribeiro
Christian Leroy Duncan, TKO, R2
Listen, CLD lost my trust after his performance vs Petrosyan. Dude just forgot how to fight and started pot shotting spin moves like a NPC. Nice step down a good 5 levels in competition so maybe this is when CLD has his Cage Warriors performance in the UFC

Oliveira vs. Sopaj
Vinicius Oliveira, TKO, R2
Trusting the contender series to continue producing decent contenders plus UAE Warriors is a decent Promo as well.

Radzhabov vs. Al-Selwady
Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, DEC
Radzhabov embarrassed me last time out and wont make a fool of me this time.

Zahabi vs Basharat is for sure one of the more intriguing matchups on the prelims. I see it going the distance and being close.

This card is mostly set-up fights, I think they’re interesting fighter on the card but not many interesting fights on the card. The favourite are going to win

Might be one of the biggest set-up card in UFC history

UFC is in desperate need of a hw prospect. That's why they pushed Gaziev so much, 2nd fight and he's already headlining an apex event. Same with Despaigne after he only fougth 4 guys with 0-0/1-0 records he got the contract. Hopefully Gaziev won't turn out like a failed prospect same as for example Romanov. But it wouldn't be a shocker at all if he gasses or/and gets clipped by Rozen.

They’re only 3 underdogs that are +200 or less, and a lot of the underdogs are even bigger underdog than that, This might be statistically the most mismatch’s UFC put on one card.

Don’t think they’re been another card with this many chalky favourites

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 595 Points   |   Tied for 249th

Rozenstruik vs. Gaziev
Jairzinho Rozenstruik, TKO, R2
My quick picks. I think Gaziev is getting over rated. He has fought no one and beaten no one good. Cardio is suspect, especially if he wrestles. Jairzinho is the better striker and a good counter striker to Gaziev's forward pressure. Problem is his size. Still I will pick the better striker with better cardio and experience here.

Petrino vs. Pedro
Vitor Petrino, TKO, R3
Pedro was supposed to be on a "home" card in Saudi, instead now he has to fly all the way to US. I am picking Petrino to weather the R1 threat and take over late

Perez vs. Mokaev
Muhammad Mokaev, DEC
My advice - be very very careful parlaying Mokaev. I would pick Perez to beat him if not for the long lay off and the fact he is more checked out of fighting and involved in business these days. I picked Elliott to beat Mokaev last time, and if not for the late finish I would have won that bet. Perez is better than Elliott in my opinion.

Nurmagomedov vs. Almakhan
Umar Nurmagomedov, SUB, R2
Bekzat seems good, but Umar is the future champ of this division.

Schnell vs. Erceg
Steve Erceg, TKO, R2
Sorry Schnell. your chin and striking defense is a liability and Erceg looks good

Anders vs. Pickett
Eryk Anders, SUB, R2
I think Anders finishes the Pickett experiement

Klein vs. Cunningham
Ľudovít Klein, TKO, R1
Mismatch

Basharat vs. Zahabi
Javid Basharat, DEC
Zahabi is the lesser fighter but will likely make it to a decision

Duncan vs. Ribeiro
Christian Leroy Duncan, TKO, R3
I am usually pretty low on Cage Warriors fighters coming into the UFC, but I did like CLD's last performance. If he survives R1 which I think he will then he wins

Oliveira vs. Sopaj
Vinicius Oliveira, TKO, R1
Need to look more into Sopaj, but short notice against someone with that power seems a tough debut

Radzhabov vs. Al-Selwady
Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, DEC
I think something was wrong with Loik in his last fight, he did not look himself at all. But his top control leaves something to be desired and I think Selwady could win a tight decision here

Putting Alex Perez in a main event when he hasn't won a fight in 4 years would have been hilariously embarrassing.

They chose this as the main event because it's really not. Gaziev and Bigi Boi are all but certainly not gonna see a 3rd round let alone championship rounds. The UFC is trying to get a ranking next to Gaziev's name before the show in Saudi Arabia this summer. That's it. This fight isn't sexy but it's very smart business.

Fun fact: Rozenstruik has been in more main events than every current UFC champion except Jon Jones.

Luta Principal

Predictions: 9 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 605th
