Andrade by Dec

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 545 Points   |   Tied for 1410th

In other circumstances Andrade would win easily and would surpass Dern, now 5 fights in a year wow, she needs this victory, I still think she is a better fighter and I think she will win by Decision

Jiri being even a slight dog to me is kind of absurd. I thought Poatan would come in around +150 or so. These odds are  insulting.

I love Poatan. He's a good fighter and seems like a really good dude too. I think all the success he's had recently is awesome but this fight isn't close for me on paper.

Kevin borjas by tko round 3

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 545 Points   |   Tied for 1410th

Here the power is on Borjas' side, his straight fists are powerful, I know they are in love with Joshua Van, he ate straight punches from his back but without power, Joshua Van has a simple style, once Borjas finds the distance everything will be over. The truth is, I don't think Joshua can withstand 15 minutes of savagery. I hope Joshua lands the first blow so Kevin Borjas explodes in the fight and everything becomes easier for him. They are underestimating Borjas.

UFC - 295 - Jessica Andrade vs Mackenzie Dern

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 3559th

UFC-295 - Breakdown-2/2  - Jessica Andrade vs Mackenzie Dern
-
Striking = Andrade - 10

Technical Striking = Andrade 10-8 Dern
Power Striking = Andrade 10-9 Dern
Creative Striking = Andrade 10-8 Dern
Striking Defense = Andrade 10-10 Dern
-
Wrestling/Grappling = Dern - 10

Offensive = Andrade 8-10 Dern
Defensive = Andrade 9-10 Dern
-
Fight IQ = Andrade 10-10 Dern - Equal
-
Cardio = Andrade 10-10 Dern - Equal
-
Toughness = Andrade 10-10 Dern - Equal
-
Total = Andrade 1-1 Dern
-
My pick = Jessica Andrade. Went back and forth all week, even fight in a different sense. Dern has struggled against good strikers in the past in Yan and Marina. According to Ufc's stats, Jessica Andrade has the 3rd lowest bottom position percentage and 4th best takedown defense in that division which is very impressive. Since Dern's best work is done after the fight gets to the ground and Andrade doesn't go to the ground easily in that division, I am leaning towards Andrade but it's close. Andrade said she trained with Tatiana Suarez for this camp which can also play a role in how she deals with the submissions. But I doubt that will make a major difference considering Andrade is very impatient when she gets taken down and gives up submissions.

I have Dern Andrade to go the distance. +170 for that one in a division where around 64% of fights goes the distance (-178). In all of their combined UFC fights they have around 55% finishes and 45% decisions so they do finish more than the average but I don't see a reason why the odds for it are that high.

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 495 Points   |   Tied for 2231st

The odds are that high because Andrade has been fighting with reckless abandon.

She's been finished 3 times in a row. One of those was to Yan, who didn't have a finish yet in the UFC despite Andrade being her 10th fight in the promotion.

I'm not saying it's a bad bet. I actually like the bet. But the odds are what they are because Andrade has been fighting like a kamikaze pilot.

Yeah I understand that. That's usually when I like a propbet of that nature. Something else has been the result a lot lately and the market decides that is the new reality now as opposed to looking at the results over a longer timespan.

Buzukja vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers
Put your money where the skill is, and it's undoubtedly with Jamall Emmers against Dennis Buzukja. Emmers is a class above, a fighter with finesse, speed, and ring intelligence that Dennis can only dream of. Buzukja might as well bring a map into the octagon because he's going to need directions to keep up with Emmers' movements. It's like watching a seasoned pro taking on an amateur; Dennis is about to get a firsthand lesson in the difference between hype and genuine talent. Good luck to Buzukja; he'll need it, and maybe a post-fight strategy guide too.

Van vs. Borjas
Joshua Van
When it comes to the impending clash between Joshua Van and Kevin Borjas, it's a no-brainer where the smart money lies. Van is a powerhouse in the ring, wielding a striking game that's light years ahead of Borjas. It's almost comical to think that Borjas stands a chance – it's like pitting a lion against a house cat. Borjas may have his dreams of victory, but Van is about to shatter them like glass. This fight isn't a test for Van; it's a showcase of his dominance, and poor Borjas is simply the sacrificial lamb stepping into the lion's den. Get ready for a masterclass in the sweet science, with Van effortlessly dismantling Borjas, reminding everyone why he's in a league of his own.

Kang vs. Castañeda
John Castañeda
Betting on John Castaneda over Kyung Ho Kang is the smart move – it's like putting your money on a thoroughbred against a donkey. Castaneda is a force to be reckoned with, boasting a skill set that makes Kang look like he's still figuring out the basics. Kang might have some past victories, but it's clear he's out of his depth against Castaneda's striking precision and ground game. This fight is less of a competition and more of a showcase for Castaneda's superiority; Kang is in for a rude awakening as he faces the harsh reality that he's just a stepping stone in Castaneda's ascent to greatness. Save your sympathy for Kang; he's going to need it after this one-sided beatdown.

Gordon vs. Madsen
Mark Madsen
When it comes to the clash between Olympic silver medalist Mark Madsen and Jared Gordon, the outcome is as clear as day, and any savvy bettor knows it. Madsen's pedigree as a silver medalist speaks volumes, and Gordon, well, he's just another run-of-the-mill fighter in Madsen's way. It's like pitting a thoroughbred against a hobby horse. Gordon might have some wins under his belt, but facing Madsen is an entirely different league – it's Olympic-level prowess versus mediocrity. Get ready for a masterclass performance as Madsen effortlessly dismantles Gordon, leaving no doubt that the silver medalist is in a league of his own, and Gordon is merely a footnote in Madsen's journey to dominance.

Nazim Sadykhov
Putting your money on Nazim Sadykhov over Viacheslav Borshchev is the epitome of a no-brainer. Sadykhov is a force to be reckoned with, possessing a skill set that makes Borshchev's abilities seem almost laughable. It's like expecting a candle to outshine the sun. Borshchev might have dreams of victory, but facing Sadykhov is a reality check he's not prepared for. This bout isn't a competition; it's a showcase of Sadykhov's dominance, and Borshchev is just an unfortunate stepping stone in his path to victory. Save your sympathy for Borshchev; he's going to need it after Sadykhov effortlessly dismantles him in the ring.
