4 fights every 2 hours, on a card where I expect finishes. Buckle up boys, gonna be a slow one. I know most of you love betting, but it's rise has really slowed these cards down

I like that the first fight of the event ends in the first round. Besides, I'm also Hispanic, that's why I'm going with the argentine.

Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
I get the feeling that people are underrating Yair here. That’s not to say I think he’s gonna win though. Volk is arguably better everywhere aside from straight kicking which Yair is the best in the world at. Volk is stronger, just as fast, better boxing and certainly the better grappler. I think Volk will mix it up without taking too much damage from Yair. As long he stays smart and keeps his usually elite defense on point he should be alright. Volk also always has a good game plan so I think he knows how to approach Yair. Follow the Frankie Edgar blueprint. Crowd the kicker, land some shots in tight and take it to the mat. I think I could see Yair winning a round but that’s about it. Volk by UD in an exciting but clear victory
Moreno vs. Pantoja III
Brandon Moreno, DEC
Feels weird seeing someone besides Figgy and Moreno in a Flyweight title fight. It’s needed though. Rewatching the previous 2 fights from these men don’t really give context into this matchup. It’s all the fights after that you need to look at. Pantoja is one of the more prolific and effective finishers in the Flyweight division. He gets his work done quickly. On the feet he has a nice right hand that has some very good power on it. In fact in general he’s very powerful for the division and exceptionally strong. On the ground is where he really shines though. He has a crazy back take which he gets on nearly every opponent. Being the 1st man to submit Brandon Royval is proof of that. One thing has remained consistent with Pantoja though. If you make him work and give him some trouble, he often tends to run out of gas by the 3rd round. The Askarov fight is the best example of that. He’s amazing the first couple rounds but does taper off considerably. That’s where I think Moreno will shine in this fight. When it comes to straight grappling Pantoja is better. But mma is different, and Brandons mma grappling is very very good. Significantly improved. He creates scrambles like a mad man and is extremely difficult to control. He’s added some very slick back takes of his own which might come into play if Pantoja shoots a bad shot while tired. Moreno’s obvious advantage is in the technical striking. He’s faster and more precise in the boxing and can match Pantoja in the power. His kicks are unorthodox but are effective. I see Moreno defending the grappling well, maybe dropping a round or 2 but after the 2nd I see him taking over. Pantoja is very hard to finish so I’ll say Brandon takes a win via UD
Whittaker vs. Du Plessis
Robert Whittaker, TKO, R2
Not sure why people believe in Dricus here. Like I know anything can happen in mma, but if you put these two side by side and skill for skill. It’s not close. Dricus is waaayyy too sloppy for Rob to not sleep him. The last time Rob fought someone this lacking in technique and overall talent was Brunson. And we all know how that went down. The moment Rob finds his range it’s over for Dricus. He’s way faster, waaayy more skilled and on top of that he’s got the recovery ability if Dricus catches him lacking which I don’t see happening. Winning based on willpower does not work against Robert Whittaker, you have to be the better fighter and Dricus will never be anywhere close to that level. 2nd round KO for Rob
