Jon Jones has fought 28 times and only beat 3 specialists at their specialty. He knocked out Brandon Vera, Mauricio Rua, and needed two tries to knock out Alexander Gustafson. In order to be a specialist, subtract wins from losses from each of 1 KO 2 S 3 D. If the largest number without a tie is positive, that is their specialty. Granted that a K artist is hard to beat without knocking them out in self defense. It´s obvious that Jones makes an effort to avoid his opponent´s strength. Jones was on his way to a K against Matt Hammel who was a weak K artist, and Jones lost by disqualification. Jones K Daniel Cormier who was a very strong K artist. Then he was disqualified. That is 5 out of 28 fights at best and only 3 different ways to win. Jone´s 26 wins were 10 K, 6 S, 10 D. Does anyone else find this odd??? You really can´t compare Jones with outer great fighters because Jones has so few loses.  Anderson Silva lost by K four times in his specialty.  GSP was never beaten at his specialty which was D. So GSP is the measuring stick. GSP D three specialists, K zero K specialists, and S one specialist. GSP´s two losses were a S to a K artist and a K to a S artist. He went 26-2 with 8 K, 6 S, 12 D. About the same. So the key to being a great fighter appears to be ¨avoid your opponent´s strength.¨

Khabib

Along that line of logic, Kabib K 8, S 11, D 10. He submitted one S artist, and K one K artist.
