I do remember Dana being furious with Turkalj for laying on his opponent for 3 rounds without really chasing a finish on Contender, seems they are using him as fodder now. Actually he shouldn't even be in the UFC, he was given a contract because they needed a fighter short notice.
I expect Petrino to get the KO but Turkalj does have some wrestling.

You have to be trolling, he stepped up on a short notice you moron into a heavier weight class like Jesus it's not that hard to read properly, also Brazilian is good? 4 of his wins are against bums, he defeated the same guy twice and basically has 1 credible win, Yeah definitely he is good, got dropped on DWCS and taken down by a striker
Idk stop being a casual and actually try to pay attention to some fighters before you speak

Sir, whenever you have a good underdog bet, let us know your thoughts (a breakdown would be great). You're usually sharp at finding good dogs for each event.

Is Gooden USADA approved? I thought you had to be 6 months in the testing pool before your scheduled fight.
Many short notice signings lately. Have all of these guy been getting tested for the past 6 mo prior to their fights?

I agree Turkalj has a decent chance if he can get his wrestling in but the ufc definetely aren't doing him any favours.

I 'm planning on including the fdgtd prop in the Turkalj fight. Do you consider it safe?

Honestly I don't think this is a great betting card for me and I'm only betting smaller stakes but I like these bets so far.
Aldrich/Lipski O1.5
Yan/Merab O1.5
Assuncao/Grant O1.5
Bautista ITD
Dumas ML
Gouvea ML + Seronio ML + U.Nurmagomedov ITD - Bellator
I also think Romanov wins but it's hard to bet on him after his last fight.

I'd only be worried about Turkalj managing to lay and pray again for 3 rounds

Yes, the problem with the lay and pray plan its how Turkalj " sets " the takedowns, just eating punches. Petrino should be able to break the clinch whenever he wants and just test the chin of that bum.

Sedriques Dumas has 19.15 takedowns per 15 minutes. That's unheard of, this guy has got to be the best wrestler the UFC has ever seen. How I imagine Gianni the Greek is reasoning while doing his statistical analysis.

I agree with you on turkalj with his stale lay and pray tactic. but I think petrino will get it done before it gets to the ground.

That's kind of you to say. Not much so far on this card. I'll probably bet Volkov but that's a 50/50 fight for me not really a clear dog spot. I do tend to overvalue Volkov a little bit and undervalue Romanov a little bit though. For Volkov in this one I like the sheer size on him and I think he has pretty good takedown defense, he's good at working himself up to his feet using the cage too. Romanov has fantastic wrestling but he does utilize moves that are very demanding, lifting and throwing these guys around. I do expect him to get one or more takedown in this one but the question is can he sustain it for more than a round? There's a good chance he can if he's been working on his cardio. I think Romanov is a bit of a tweener though size-wise. He's been down under 240 lbs last couple of fights and still carry a lot of fat. Volkov on the other hand has been bulking and mostly in muscle mass ever since his fight against Blaydes where he probabvly decided afterwards that he wanted more size against wrestlers.
Volkov can be a bit hit or miss with his cardio, sometimes it looks great and other times he starts gassing earlier than you'd expect. The Blaydes fight is a good example where he came back in rd4 and 5 and did quite well while Blaydes was hitting a wall despite the gruelling nature of that fight. He looked weak vs Tybura, one of his worst recent performances, but it was in stifling heat in Abu Dhabi. Then again maybe he was juicing for the Blaydes fight and that's why his cardio was so great in that one, who knows?
Romanov's cardio also looked bad vs Tybura but it was in Salt Lake city so at least a bit of elevation, 1300m or so above sea-level according to wikipedia. So I try to not read too much from a single fight.

Harris vs. Gooden
Carlston Harris, TKO, R1
Glad to see Harris is still on this card & glad to see Jared Gooden back in the ufc. I don't think Gooden is that good but he's earned his way back by being active and winning. I think Harris is more dangerous everywhere & just the overall better fighter in general but it should be fun as long as it lasts
