Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

I actually prefer "little" Charlo. Remember they're identical twins, there is no size difference between them really.  Also Mall hasn't fought in over 2 years and hasn't been impressive in even longer. Meanwhile Mell has cleaned out 154lbs taking belts from a string of good fighters.
Also Canelo isn't exactly a bona fide 168lbs, he's a  5'7" block! Mell has height and reach on him. So I don't get the size argument.
I would have preferred Canelo to face the real challenge at 168lbs if he's meant to be the Undisputed Champion at the weight, meaning David Benavidez.
But Canelo does what he wants, he's earned that by being the most successful boxer since Floyd retired.

Charlo is a live opponent, I may even stick a 10er on Charlo if the odds are nice!

Depends on how much you trust the source but MVP has said on Twitter the WBC told them they will be enforcing Shadasia Green as Savannah Marshall’s mandatory challenger

Canelo couldn't make 154lb back in 14'-15', he had 4 consecutive catchweight bouts in those years, and he's only gotten bigger since. Charlo makes the Super-Welterweight limit right now. Canelo's gonna be the bigger guy in there and making someone jump up two divisions has never worked out well.

I get your point Casual, I know Canelo has fought at the higher weight for longer.
Just me personally, I don't think it's too big of a deal and I genuinely think Jermell has a shot, a better shot than Jermall who hasn't fought since June 2021 and has gone through a bunch of personal problems since.

We'll find out fight Night! and I can't wait!

Tale of Hamed vs. Kelley

New video from the excellent Office Hancho focusing on 1 of the best fights of the 90s, Prince Naseem Hamed vs. Kevin Kelley.
Naz was 1 of my favourites when I was a kid. I have fond memories from watching Naz, Benn, Eubank and Lennox Lewis in my early years watching boxing in the 90s. An amazing time for British Boxing.

As for this fight, voted fight of the Year and maybe the best 4 Rounds of action boxing you'll see!!

What a huge opportunity for Dynamite, sure I expect Oly to school him but unlike Tony Josh hes not chinny and hes faster than Chisora.
Its a fan friendly fight in my casual opinion, should be fun and Oly ain't koing DDD :>.

Dubois is getting KO'd by Usyk IMO!!!
I have questions about Dubois chin, more so his ability to handle being put under pressure. To use an old saying "he's great at being the hammer, can't handle being the nail".
Look at the Joyce fight for evidence of this, also his last fight vs Lerena he was very close to being stopped in the 1st round!
I'm definitely backing Usyk by stoppage, I'll say between 7 and 10 Dubois retires on his stool or his corner throw in the towel after a Usyk turns up the volume and starts putting weight behind his shots.

Josh, never know bud. I've been wrong many times before!!! I'm sure that it will be an entertaining fight whatever happens because Dubois is a big, fast, power puncher. Usyk can't afford to get hit clean that's for sure.
