Alright folks, 

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site. 

So here's a place to talk boxing. 

You're right Bare Knuckle Boxing is treated as a serious sport in other countries, where fighters are specifically trained and prepared to fight in this manner. Although in the USA there are a couple that have prepared for the BKB or have made a transition correctly, it cannot be denied that over 50% of the BKFC roster are MMA fighters who take these fights because they are practically offered nothing in regional circuits. 

Without the intention of attacking a nationality or group of people, I have always found the ability of the USA to take things that are respected elsewhere in the world and turn them into a freak show circus or grotesque show far removed from the original context and at the same time generate good money (in business this is called Benchmarking, but in the USA they take it to other levels). It's like Burmese boxing (in which the heads are used) in that country it is the national martial art and it is treated with respect and surely with a mystical approach but I would not be surprised if some promoter in the USA opened his own promotion based on this, and put journeymans who no longer receive calls from the regional circuits or boxers who do not have permission by the athletic commission to fight in the Ballrooms and those people end up giving punches and headbutts in an extravagant ring for $2K to fight and $2K earn bonuses. 

It’s like the case of a famous Spanish Youtuber who came to interview Juan Espino and Ilia Topuria, in his podcast he said he was a big fan of MMA (although he could not count more than the Khabib vs. McGregor Era) and then he had an evening Russian MMA Freak Show type with non-weight fighters facing each other, Slap Contest and Event at 2 vs. 1 fight between 2 guys who wouldn't be different from 2 normal citizens and a Pro-MMA Fighter with record of 6-5. That is where one realizes that if they were really fans of the sport and have a great platform, they should create an MMA promotion in Spain like the UK has Cage Warriors or Italy has Venator and give young fighters the chance to train so that from there The new Joel Alvarez, Ilia Topuria or Juan Espino come out. But instead they prefer to just take the part of the freak show for the financial reward and perpetuate the idea that MMA is a wild thing to those who don't know the sport or have only seen the grotesque side on the internet.

Ryan Garcia parted ways with coach Joe Goossen. 

So apparently Deon was arrested driving around smoking dope and carrying a concealed firearm.
But that is not important here, his boxing or at least effective power punching is.
What is your opinion of Deontay as a boxer Mikey never seen this brought up here.
He was a multiple world champ and has hit 37 I think and a big slump from days when he was gonna ko Anthony Joshua with ease or any other man for that matter.

omg I had no idea Gvozdyk was fighting? I knew he was coming back but I didn't know he fought in February and again tomorrow, that's crazy

This is about a year old at this point, but god damn is it a good read. I've always been curious about what keeps journey men coming back, and this shed a lot of light onto that. It's a boxing story, but it honestly transcends boxing.

Sad to say that yet another young boxer has lost their lives due to injuries suffered in the ring.

Young, 22yrs old, Kenneth Egano fell into a coma in the moments after winning a Unanimous decision in the Philippines this past Sunday. He was placed in an induced coma and tragically was declared deceased earlier today.  Story in the Ring Magazine website.

Sorry Josh, never seen your question about Wilder until now.  I don't think he's declining, he's still what he always was, a below par technical boxer with probably the worst footwork I've seen on a reigning, defending World Champion! Yet he is also an athletic freak with pure dynamite and the 1 punch he throws extremely well is his straight Right, which may be the most devastating straight Right in Heavyweight history!!!! 

He's still all those things and probably will be for another few years. 

I think he KO's all the Heavyweights outside Fury(who he dropped 5x and 2x was as close to winning as you get!).  I think Usyk ties him up in knots but all it would take is 1 shot. 
Joshua, Ruiz, Joyce, Zhang, Hrgovic, Dubois, Whyte etc. All get sparked out IMO. 

Couple of guys who may also trouble him are Cuban Frank Sanchez (if he can take a shot?) and the Real Big Baby Jared Anderson (who we also don't know if he can take a shot) 

I used to be a Wilder hater. But I learned to appreciate him for what he is. A crazy power puncher!!!!!

On a sad note Mikey, I just found results to a Tanzanian show that happened at the end of April, and there was apparently a death on that card as well.  Virtually the same situation too.  Guy collapsed in the corner after the fight was over and later died in the hospital.

Cool thanks Mikey I'm most concerned with Deons mental/ego/personal problems, not so much physically.
As you say his frame speed reflex are all way outside of any norm, his ability to put that right on people as well.
Looking forward to him vs Jared or any other top tier guy Joyce lost his 0 but still rooting for him too!

Well would be pretty cheap compared to what he paid her after divorce, way better value. Divorce is a method of stealing, there is a culture now in women's circles of "starter marriages"

There should be no honeypot for women after divorce they are equal now and have government for welfare... Marriage is a sham and scam most modern women are atheists fundamentally and worship money and status, they have no moral compass or framework, nevermind purity, what the white dress at weddings is supposed represent

If you have to get married for whatever stupid reason, and its not to a highschool sweetheart, make sure its to an Asian woman who didnt grow up in the west, or some guaranteed traditional minded non western woman, ideally one who doesnt bang alot of guys and doesnt have diseases/mental issues. A western needle from the haystack may always turn on you, there is never a guarantee

Actually seems legit this time but I'm scared to add it to the schedule!!!!! 

Considering it's coming from ESPN itself and not just some journalist it definitely seems more legit than normal

Ccollins isn't familiar with Coppinger
