haven't seen this in a thread, so lemme start it.... excluding bruce lee from this argument, for obvious reasons, who is the best fighter to grace the screen?

in other words, would tony jaa beat chuck norris? jackie chan beat JCVD? jet li vs jason statham? steven seagal vs David carriadine? Cynthia Rothrock vs Michelle Yeoh? who would win in a huge battle royale type fight?

for sake of fair argument, take every fighter in their prime...

Well Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights are by far the 2 best movies out of all the movies those actors starred in, so I am going to have to go with my man Jackie Chan.

I put Jackie at #2 because he's been in such a huge list of films, including movies over in China, and hits in the US.  From Drunken Master to Rumble in the Bronx, Project A, Shanghai Noon, Rush Hour, etc.  He's been in such a wide variety of films.  Tony Jaa hasn't really been in that many hit films.

I find the lack of Jason Statham disturbing...:D

But really, I do like Jason Statham. Obviously not a classic dude, and likely will never be, but I love the movies he's in for what they are, which is just a good action film with a story for filler

I liked Steven Seagal, more for comedic reasons.  One of his movies, I think it was Out For Justice or something, he goes out basically beating up bad guys and breaking their bones and ****, trying to find out who killed his partner or something.  He hurts so many people so badly in this movie that I started feeling sorry for the people he`s hurting and wishing someone would stop this sadistic out of control cop, which I doubt was the intention of the screenwriter.

my purpose for this thread was who is the best FIGHTER, not the best ACTOR.....

for me, after bruce lee, i'd say jaa, li, norris, rothrock, jcvd, leoh, chan, statham, carradine, an irish monkey, a toadstool, stephen seagal.

Did it have crazy Jamaicans in it!?!?! Cause I think I just watched that the other day, and some of the things he did were overkill!!!

Also, Liam Neeson anyone? He went around karate chopping everyone in Taken, and was the coolest Jedi in SW :D
