Not really, ive never liked the idea of superfights between champions. I think both fighters have guys in their divisions that they haven't beaten yet and need to completely clean out their own divisions before a cruz vs aldo fight is even considered.

No, Cruz still has some people at 135 to beat before he gets Aldo.

The UFC needs to develop their lower weights before they decide to do a superfight. Not to mention at the moment they are too marketable to loose(vs. their divisions with very few fighters known by casual fans) as champions yet not marketable enough to warrant a superfight (it won't be a top ppv be honest).

I agree that the UFC needs to continue to develop the lower weight classes before considering superfights, but I have thought about Cruz vs. Aldo in the past. I don't think Aldo could comfortably make the cut to 135, so I think it would be best at 145. I think Aldo would be the favorite, but I think Cruz would have a solid chance at decisioning him because of his movement and ability to avoid damage.

Aldo's leg kicks would slow Cruz way down late in the fight...and as long as the guys that judged Machida/Rua 1 aren't there Aldo should take the decision

I'd like to see it, but only because I don't really like Cruz. Aldo is too much for him, and if he's smart, he'll stay at 135.

I dunno. I don't think cruz is near aldo's level. I'd be more interested in seeing aldo go to 155, but he's still got some work to do at 145.

Offensively, I don't think Cruz is anywhere near Aldo's level, but defensively, he's one of the best, and he's also frustrating as hell to fight.

I was thinking about this fight as well! I don't think it will happen anytime soon though...I see them both moving up in weight eventually though

Interesting fight, I think Aldo would use his arsenal of kicks to try and slow Cruz down. That in itself is no easy task. Would be a great fight for sure, maybe if both these guys clear out their weight divisions it will happen.

Its hard enough to find challengers for these guys, making them fight each other is just going to further discredit the loser's weight class (which would be cruz)

As a lot of you pointed out both men need to polish off the rest of there respective divisions before a super fight could happen. I love watching both Aldo and Cruz fight and will be pumped for any fight they have. Its just every time I start to think of who could dethrone Aldo (I know anyone could but I mean someone who's closer to a 50/50 chance) and the names that come to mind are Cruz, Edger, and maybe Faber (if he truly learns from the first fight and makes a new game plan). I just really want to see this fight so i figured try to get ppl talking about it, since with enough people talking about it we have a better chance of getting it.
