The fighters are weighed in and we're set for a FOX show that's light on star power but pretty deep in terms of match-making.
Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 4pm ET before switching to FOX at 6pm.
Enjoy!

well, given the middle order collapse on my picks that could have been worse. I'll take 50%.
Thanks for hanging out everyone!

After watching the replays, I think he actually missed that knee. Phew.

Elbows were absolutely NOT to the "back of the head". Listen to McCarthy explain it, it's not "anywhere behind tthe ears". As for the knee, IF it landed it was illegal but to me it was to the shoulder.

I'm fine with the knee, did not impact the fight. One of the elbows I thought was questionable but not enough to make me question the result.

Dom should recuse himself from this debate. And no, he doesn't deserve the next title shot. Maybe the one after the Edgar/Ortega winner.

Stephens's first fight with Holloway was so bad he should have to win another few to be in title consideration.

If the MLB has replays why wouldn't fighting!? Unlimited and at any time...what's the problem? The new rules are still confusing and the fact that each commission can basically do their own thing is f****** asinine.
This stuff has got to stop. There should be no controversy anymore. We have the proper technology & intelligence. Its time the commissions & rule-makers in Prize-Fighting accept the 21st century.

We've stressed the importance of making sure a runners foot has touched the bag before the baseball but are lenient to viewing a fist fight. Genius.

Stephens is very lucky that knee didn't land. Probably about a centimeter away from ******* up a great performance.

The knee was legal imo. Regardless it seems most of you don't understand how rules work.
If you tried to kill somebody & failed...you don't get off. Its called Attempted-Murder. Being successful has nothing to do with rules. So if this knee WAS illegal then its illegal even if he missed.
The "New Unified Rules" are neither unified nor understood. Literally NOBODY knows what the rules are. But regardless, the attempt to break a rule is just as bad as actually breaking the rule. You guys know this.

I can't even find the new 'unified' rules Bruce, and I'm yet to see a single round scored as a 10-7, which is supposedly something that can happen under the new scoring guidelines. I'm completely against this, actually...it's a very idiotic scaling system that will absolutely result in horrible decisions, as a 3 point lead is virtually insurmountable, and judges simply cannot be trusted with that level of power. A striker who gets taken down early in round 1 of a 3 round fight, and controlled there the full round, but doesn't take much damage from the top, might get a 10-7 against them, win every other round decisively and still lose the3fight
It's all over the place like a mad woman's ****, really.
The knee was illegal, of that I'm sure and as you say the fact it didn't land doesn't somehow make it absolved of illegality. All things being equal though I'm very happy that Stephens wasn't DQ'ed, as in real terms it had no bearing on the outcome of the fight. Emmett was done whether the knee happened or not.

Yea its really bad. If fans or fighters want to join up for something..why not join up to keep every 1 of these sketchy-ass commissions in place!? Why in the F*** can each commission basically do whatever they want and why haven't we burned them to the ground yet?

What we know is that the rules are more like guidelines. Take for example to egregious eye gouge on Jake Matthews as bought to you by Li Jingliang. Not even a point was taken. If you can gouge somebodies eyes to escape a choke and it be fine, then surely an illegal knee that missed is more fine?????
The key to success in MMA is "always cheat".

The key to success in Prize-Fighting is to genuinely hate human-beings. Respect & kindness have no part in Prize-Fighting. You could die in there. Wake up with your eye-socket smashed into pieces.
Mike Perry lost his savageness. Got a cute girlfriend & some money...all it takes sometimes. Hence why Tyson went celibate in his prime. Love is weakness. Kindness is weakness. Money is weakness.
Khabib smash. Care about children later.

@Massa - totally agree re: killer instinct. It's why I don't want to see hugging mid-fight. As for your opinion on Perry's gf, I partially agree but I'm coming round to the idea that she was actually the best person in her corner on the night. I really think he needs to go train somewhere else. No denying his natural ability but the concern is when you are the top-dog at your gym, you won't get any better.

Any tennis bimbo who screams "BREAK HIS LEG" should be smacked back into the kitchen promptly. Glad Colby spoke up. as Cruz would say.."Keep your fling on a string"
I agree that being the best guy in your gym means you're not getting pushed properly. My point is it doesn't matter where you train if you lost that savagery. Success drains Savagery.
Prize-Fighting 101. Struggle breeds greatness. Success eliminates struggle. Can't think of what Boxer said it but.."Its hard to get up at 7 am and run in the Winter when you're wearing Silk boxers"
