I was i the top 5-10 all the way up to the Means fight, the went downhill fast with 3 straight L's after going 10 for the first 10.

Tybura put up a valiant effort, but Werdum was a big step up. I can't believe how many hard strikes both guys ate in that fight.

Being overweight is a legit tactic will be interesting to see where this goes, missing weight will piss off fans and your promotion will lose confidence in you for a while but the W is such a big deal

It can be an advantage assuming you haven't messed yourself up with a terrible weight cut attempt and anyone attempting it to come in overweight on purpose would have to be earning big money to be wiling to sacrifice 20% of their purse for the sake of that advantage.

Yeah true missing on purpose is a silly idea and sure peeps at that level ain’t going do that, but am keen to see how it affects career overall, some of my fav fighters have missed weight looking at you rumble, oh plus my boy hunt who didn’t miss but had close calls, man you had to cut for 265 and you ain’t 6 foot.......legend

@HJWalker @Dodgey Also, these 4 who failed the weight missed for 3 pounds or more and that is including the non title fight one pound allowance. So it is a big advantage in my eyes comparing it to his opponents, who may have struggled to make weight.

Yeah that’s a good point how much does it affect the opponent, leading up to the fight and after, do they point at their wiki and say “see he didn’t make weight”?
