Diaz just doesn't seem like that kind of fighter.

I agree I think even though he has a ton of respect for BJ it's still going to be a war...we just might not see his usually trash talking during the fight.

"“All of a sudden, he was shooting for a takedown, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you’re a wrestler now? Remember, I’m the black belt in jiu-jitsu. And you’re shooting on me now? This is a wrap." - Nate Diaz"

i liked on the countdown show both fighters and their camps were pretty respectful to each other

This fight can literally go either way.  Penns a solid wrestler and can put Diaz on his back if he so pleases.  Diaz is awesome off his back too.  I don't have any other reason for picking Diaz other than I question Penn's motivation to be a top fighter anymore.

Diaz sometimes seems like two different guys. One minute he is being respectful (at least in some of his more recent fights) toward his opponent then after they touch gloves and the ref signals for the fight to start the trash talking, taunting, Stockton bad ass wakes up. Then it seems like he wants to do nothing less than destroy his opponent mind, body, and soul. Then after the fight is over and he is being interviewed he is this calm respectful dude again. Well sometimes at least I guess it just depends on who his opponent is if he was to ever fight "Mayhem" I don't think the trash talking would stop. But back to the subject at hand this fight is going to be F____king insane. These are two of the craziest dudes in the sport. When they get locked in the octagon together this Saturday night don't even think for a second that it is going to be like Cro-Cop vs. Barry. These two might respect each other but we will see Abraham Lincoln vs Ghandi in the UFC before we see Penn and Diaz hugging each other, unless its in a triangle or rear-naked choke.

I do agree that Penn has fought better opponents and will probably get the W. But diaz is always surprising and we will see what kind of fight he expects from Penn. Can't wait to see that !

I'm never been a big fan of BJ, personality-wise, and I always end up rooting against him when he fights, but I've still got respect for the guy. The closer this fight gets, the more confident I am he's going to expose Diaz for being the fringe top ten WW that he is.

I just can't see this fight not going the distance, both guys are too tough to finish. I can see it going 29-28 Penn or 29-28 Diaz, depending on when Penn hits his cardio wall.

Because that's the only way Diaz has a good chance at winning? :)

I'm pissed, I recorded the UFC 137 Countdown last night but someone deleted it so I didn't get to see it.  Was it any good?
