You are in the minority of saying that was a good stoppage. Unless a fighter goes out, in which Chiesa didn't, you don't stop a fight because someone is attempting to submit you. As the referee you are there to stop the fight when the fighter taps or goes out.
Overall i enjoyed this event. There was the bad stoppage at the end and the judges were not on point tonight on a couple of fights. Darrell Horcher for example. He won a Split Decision. That was a Unanimous Decision all day. Good thing he wasn't screwed out of a W. The Penn/Siver cards where a bit strange too.
