This is a bad bad matchup for Strickland. He has issues putting away guys he should beat because he thinks he can jab his way to wins, I'd like to see him try and jab his way through Usman's grappling.

Shame, I really like Strickland and thought he'd amount to much more that he probably will.

I see 15 minutes of him laying on his back with an angry Nigerian on top of him.

Prediction: wrong Strickland   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 3  

Strickland all day. Usman presents as a tough scary dude but in reality he needs to spam takedowns to win, he rests often during takedowns and isn't particularly effective if he gets them. Strickland has decent takedown defence, a competent wrestling and jiu-jitsu game and trains at Dan Hendersons wrestling academy in Utah. Strickland basically out jabbed Ponzinibbio in that fight and Usman's striking is limited to winging shots with no real range awareness. I see Strickland maybe losing a round to takedowns but eventually hurting Usman bad and either dominating to a decision or more likely finishing him.

I am strongly leaning towards strickland. The fact i have Usman even picked concerns me, this guy is ok, but nothing better than top 15-20 guy.   I agree Yoss I had high hopes for Strickland. 

He is "due" for a big performance tho.

Extremely happy with how Kamaru looked, surprised that Strickland wasn't able to do anything significant though.

I was thinking that it was going to be a close fight and a tough test for Usman, but he went in there and just dominated Sean everywhere. Looking forward to seeing him fight the top 10 guys.

Definitely a good performance for Usman, it was nice to see since he's obviously been a huge rising prospect and now I'll actually be able to look forward to his fights since he isn't just wrestling with little damage dealt. The fact that he didn't seem that happy with the performance is probably a good sign too.

Yeah, he's really been turning up his aggression in his last two fights. If he tightens up his punches, he could start finishing guys often. Definitely has the power.
