dorkmier looked awful at weigh ins and pretty sure he either cheated to make weight or the commission messed with the scales. hopefully a rough weight cut means no chin.

Cormier does not look good today, looks like before Jones fight!
Hope he still get it! Cormier is an exemple of wath a champion should do. He dont try to cherry pick, he fought the best guy out-here even if that guy is the most devastating knockout artist on the rooster!

Sometimes I think we read too much into body language, etc. pre-fight, but I'm actually beginning to lean toward Rumble here. He clearly had a much easier cut and seems to be oozing calm and confidence this week. Leads me to believe he won't go for broke in R1.
Cormier is aging. You get old overnight in this sport. At 38 years old, I wonder if the lackluster Anderson Silva performance was more telling than the narrative would have us believe.
All that said, I think the style match-up heavily favors DC, as it did the first time around.

It's like you're going out of your way to not get it. Here, let me help you out so you see what I'm saying. Cormier is only the champion on paper because he's not the real champion or #1 LHW, Jones is. Cormier isn't the true champion until he beats Jones, period.

Titles are a lot about Legacy The title Jones had was the lineal UFC/Pride and possibly Strikeforce title that had an unbroken legacy dating back to its inception.
The title Cormier has is now a whopping three fight legacy.
Whenever a champ retires or is stripped it breaks lineage and takes time for a title to regain its value.
The WW title is still struggling to regain full value since GSP retired. The FW title will have to regain value since Connor dumped the title.
