The UFC is doing Held no favors with his 2nd fight. Odd way to move a prospect forward

Did held sleep with someone's wife before he signed with the UFC? Who is next, barboza?

I actually think this is a great fight for him. Very winnable (I'm picking him to win) over a huge name.

I see it as the same as the Sanchez fight. Everything Held does, either Joe does better or is good enough to neutralize what Marcin will attempt to do. Plus, Joe has been in there against absolute killers basically since his first fight in the UFC against Jens. Not trying to knock Held's level of competition, I just don't think it's nearly what Joe's has been.

Held lost to Sanchez in large part due to lack of fight IQ, but I don't know how much he'll improve that in 2 months. Further, Lauzon at this point is better than Sanchez nearly everywhere.

Prediction: wrong Held   wrong Decision

I think held lost to Sanchez due to lack of cardio and getting outwrestled. I don't think Lauzon will apply the same gameplan nor test Held's gas tank as much. He's more dangerous but less of a pressure-wrestler (which is how Diego fought Held).

I see Held as a younger, faster version of Lauzon. I also think Held's grappling is better that Lauzon's (yeah, I know, bring on the downvotes and meet me back here after the fight) and Held's striking is still improving while as Lauzon is looking slower on the feet each time he fights.

I wouldn't bet my house on it, but it's a pick I'm pretty confident in.

@pillory
Sanchez is better then Joe at grappling. He criminally underrated as a grapler.

I've got my fingers crossed for a Held victory, only because I fear the UFC will cut him with a loss to prove a point.
