Prediction: wrong Cruz   wrong Decision

Remember Tj vs Cruz. .. Tj let up on the high volume of low kicks just as the damage was getting through, started winging it head hunting.. He could have stopped Cruz that night via leg kicks  easily .. so painful to watch it slip away, why did he stop low kicking ? .. If Cody staves off the cripple take downs, ( with his Ohio wrestling ? ) and butchers Cruz legs before or while going head hunting he could turn this feel good epic into an emotional drain tragedy

When was the last time Garbrandt threw a leg kick, though? I expect him to do the same thing he always does, but mix it up with some wrestling as well. I have enough confidence in Cruz's wrestling to think he'll be able to more than handle whatever Garbrandt throws at him in that area.

Unless Garbrandt somehow continues the 2016 MMA trend of weirdness and KOs Cruz early he's probably in for one of the more embarrassing one-sided clowning losses of MMA history.

I may turn out to be wrong, but personally think Cody is going to be his hardest fight yet.  I think Cody going to get it done.  Will see though. I think it will come down to if Cody can stuff Cruz at will. If he can't he likely going to get dominated. However, I think he going to be able to stuff Cruz at will and build confidence.  I think Cruz can certainly out strike Cody, however I think in prolong striking exchanges Cody will get him. I also think Cody is as fast as him and I think he has better boxer as well as in the pocket. He also very good at closing distance and landing shots coming in, sometimes at angles people don't expect.I just feel people might be underestimating Cody here.

I am enjoying the legitimate animosity between these two. There are no scripted promos. Both are fumbling a little with the **** talk. But I can tell these two are being natural with their hatred. It doesn't feel forced. For me that builds more anticipation than some of the ******** that guys are saying. Usually I get hyped when two high level fighters are about to throw down, but when there is legit beef, like with jones and dc, then it just adds a little extra. But the forced **** is actually off putting.

I see Dom doing his thing for five rounds. He has no patterns to his movement so it will be hard for Cody to catch up. But Cody does cut great angles and his boxing is nasty. I think this fight will come down to wrestling and transitions between the scrambles. I think that's when Cody will have the best chance to land cleanly.

I don't think Dom really dislikes him just like he never really disliked Faber. He's working off the grudge to create interest and also playing Garbrandt like a fiddle.

Garbrandt isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed and Dom's putting him exactly where he wants him.

While I agree, he does not dislike Garbandt, Cruz despite all his insistence, clearly dislike faber. He still can't help himself but make comments about faber even after he supposedly squashed there beef.  Personally I think Cruz is just messing with TJ/Garbrandt ect. However he truly dislikes faber and though he said things to mess with Faber, he also truly dislikes him.  Frankly I don't think that will ever change, he even pretty much admitted later that his little thing with squashing the beef with faber, was not really that legit.  He even made several **** comments about Faber not ever winning UFC gold, days after supposedly squashing the beef. Cruz likes to pretend that he just messing with Faber, but lets be real here, there is honest dislike from Cruz when it comes to Faber, which to me is quite evident. To me this is reinforced  when he continues to make such comments despite the facts Faber retired and it gains him nothing, but he just can't help himself, because he strongly dislikes Faber that much.

Also Cody a lot smarter then people give him credit for, just because your not great at verbal sparring, does not mean you are not smart. From my understanding Cody Fluent in several languages including Chinese.  That not an easy language to become fluent in, especially with out a lot of education. I also don't think Cruz mind games are going to have any actual success, come fight night.

I don't know fellas. It seems to me like there is a general hatred from Dom towards all TAM guys. Maybe it's because, despite being the better fighter and champion, Faber is more successful outside of the cage. It seems like Dom and Cody wouldn't concede a game of pool, let alone a fist fight to each other.
