Wonderboy would beat Lawler. At this point I'd bet money on that, and I ******* love Lawler.

Wonderboy took shots from Rory that I don't think he could survive from Lawler.

I think Robbie could very well knock Wonderboy out. He's got the power to do it and he's gonna be more aggressive than Rory was.

@FaceStomper, it doesn't work like that.

That said, Robbie's style is perfect for fighting a guy like Wonderboy because he doesn't wait around and watch his opponent tap dance. He'll either pressure and get rid of that pesky mid-range distance Wonderboy loves so much or die trying.

All in all, Rory got a lovely televised sparring session in to help him prepare for his next Bellator fight since I can already hear Dana's "we want guys on the way up not the way down" routine (even though Rory dismantles 95% of his "on the way up" guys).

I wouldn't be surprised of they offered Rory a pay cut for his next contract just to get rid of him. He's no longer top prospect for dat Canada PPV money. Long live OAM.

Maia and wonderboy should take the Tyron Woodley route and go into semi-retirement until title shot.

Wonderboy gets the winner of Lawler vs Woodley, no doubt about it anyone who suggests something besides that is either being a moron or an *******.

Carlos Condit vs Donald Cerrone seems like a really awesome fight that should happen. Let them headline a Fox card.

Ok Nomad, I wasn't suggesting that he SHOULD fight Donald next. I'm just saying.  Imagine the fight.  K?

But, yeah dude.  I'm feeling Cerrone vs Condit @200, 201 or 202.  Hell that would be a pretty good headliner as well.

I think Lawler vs Wonderboy is far more interesting, the only thing that worries me about that fight is I think Lawler's chin has already begun to deteriorate and he's a bit old. I also think Condit vs Cerrone is more interesting than Cerrone vs Wonderboy too. It's also a high profile fight that puts either guy into the title picture, I love it.

I think the welter division is  kind of a mess right now on the title shots because they had McDonald fight Lawler to quick after that first loss to Lawler. Then you know McDonald is main pull for Canadian PPV and tickets selling so they needed him to have a good win, not losing to Lawler a third time, so Woodley gets shot while numbers one and two on the contenders list have to try and pick each other off. If they wanted to build McDonald up they should have never had him face Lawler a 2nd time in less than two years when McDonald had age on his side. Hope that makes sense...LOL

I think people get the wrong idea about Lawler sometimes and I don't think he matches up well against Wonderboy at all. Lawler isn't a guy who tends to constantly pressure in his fights. He takes rounds off. He had rounds against Condit and Hendricks in the second fight where his significant strikes landed was a single digit. In the Condit fight more than 50% of his strikes landed were in the fifth round. He also tends to get into long exchanges where he takes a punch to land a punch and that might not work against a longer, taller guy who uses angles and tends to be hard to hit. And if he gets kept at bay and outstruck over several of the rounds he might not be able to put on one of his vaunted fifth round beatdowns which is how he kept the title in his last two defenses.

Also, OAM is solid but doesn't look remotely close to a guy who's going to be headlining PPVs anytime soon, if ever.

@J Roc I think Cerrone vs Wonderboy would be a great fight too, at least on paper. Maybe once Lawler beats Woodley, Wonderboy gets his shot and wins and Cerrone wins his next fight or two (since he fights so often) he gets first shot against Wonderboy. I will have a tough time that fight, love watching both of them. Just like I'm going to have a hard time watching Ferguson vs Chiesa since they are both some of my favorite fighters.

@Pillory, I agree on both accounts. I didn't say Lawler would succeed, but he wouldn't be caught watching him either. Wonderboy when pressured has been proven hittable (by Brown and Côte). That doesn't mean he doesn't necessarily know how to deal with said pressure, just think that's the way to go against him.

As for OAM, I was joking. Dude's not a fighter, he's an amazing athlete, hard worker, solid base, but the UFC are looking for someone to bring in them GSP Canada numbers and thought it would be Rory. Now due to him having the audacity to fight out his contract, I'm pretty sure he'll be thrown under the bus, bad-mouthed and belittled by one bald ************ and they'll look for the next Canadian GSP. Given how basic their knowledge of fighting is, I wouldn't be too surprised if they think OAM's their man.
