I like Will Brooks.... he has a very good all around game, and much like Eddie Alvarez, beat Chandler twice... unlike a lot of people I think he'll be a top 5 UFC LW.

Lmao, I just posted the other day that I saw "Brooks" in the forums against someone, and thought he got signed, but was disappointed when it was just CM Punk.

Not disappointed anymore. :)

There are unsubstantiated rumors circulating that Brooks left a $150k/fight offer from Bellator on the table. Same rumors are pegging his starting UFC fight at 25k/25k.

Seems that Brooks signed with the UFC in the hopes of getting the belt and the money that comes with it. If he doesn't get the belt, he'll likely have left $ on the table by ditching Bellator. Being at the top of the heap in Bellator is worth more than being in the middle of the pack in the UFC, especially in a division this crowded.

If they seriously only offered Brooks 25k/25k that's a ******* joke. And I wonder why so many of the sports best prospects are never signed by the UFC.....

If that's the case kudos to Brooks for having the balls to do that. Maybe not the smartest career move financially, but cool as hell in my book.

I was beginning to wonder what the market for Will Brooks was since he hadn't signed with anyone, but leaving $150k a fight on the table to get $25k/$25k is a bold career move, hope it pays off for him. Pearson is a good first fight for Brooks in the UFC, might get him a performance bonus if he's able to get past him.

In fairness to the UFC, Brooks shot himself in the foot by eliminating Bellator as a suitor. If you're a business, why pay him $150k is there's nobody else in the market looking at him?

Well, ever since he won the belt Bellator have treated him like an unwanted commodity while treating Chandler like their special prince so why would he want to stay in a promotion where even as champ you're not treated properly?

Also, he believes he can be UFC champion and boost that 25K substantially, had he kept Bellator in the picture the UFC would never match anything close to 150K.

I agree with @Yoss, they've pushed Chandler since day 1 even after he lost three in a row... Brooks was looking for a little respect and he should have been vocal about it. Did he go about it the wrong way at times, yea probably.... nonetheless, he wanted to fight for the UFC and fight the best and money wasn't his sole focus. Good on him.

Why is tito the main event? Why am I the co main behind tito? Why all these former ufc guys are getting all the attention? (when they signed Koscheck and others)Why my belt is hard to see in the poster? - All things Will said, and there is more. He wanted to go, and he got a full release. Good for him. Now he is happy, but he was a diva.
Edit: One of the funniers, I missed above. Why tito stole all the mic. time from Liam? (at Bellator Dynamite)

Which one of those was not a valid claim?

Tito was headlining the card when he had not won a fight in over 3 years, had lost his last 4 fights and was fighting a small middle weight at light heavy weight.  That a pretty valid claim to ask when tito was headlining and why will brooks was barely even on the poster.  UFC guys where getting  all the attention, like Kos, who on a 4 fight losing streak, yet got way more attention from Ballator then Will Brooks. This is even after Bellator was constantly claiming they would not pic up UFC cast offs.  Also his belt was barely visible on the poster, you act like it was a little blurry, it was almost nonexistent and was purposely barley shown. This is because they where still trying to push chandler over Will Brooks, who was there champ.

Which one of his claims was not valid?  Feel like your siding with a billion dollar company instead of looking at this from normal view point.  Not one of the claims you mention from him where not a valid question from Will, he was far from being a diva.

@Kinsalsa, I agree, but all that happened AFTER Bellator had already shafted Brooks and showed how much they wanted Chandler to hold the belt.

Not that I care too much for Brooks and I agree he came across very whiney, but I wasn't giving him excuses, I was trying to explain why he would drop from 150K to 25K/25K os easily and why he didn't use Bellator offers as bargaining leverage to try and push the UFC up in price.

Whether he was right or not to do so or say the things he said is up for interpretation. I personally have no opinion on the matter.

25K/25K is pretty bad...like, I know Brooks isn't as big of a deal as Lombard or Alvarez but they both make way more than that...
