Going to guess this is at 135 because of the short notice.

They should of moved Gates to a show later in the Spring and maintained this rare FlyW bout. Holohan was the European connection to this card, not Gates.

Sasaki's last stand. Once an uber-prospect he seems to have fallen flat after the step up in competition

Sasaki has been an absolute flop in the UFC

Prediction: wrong Gates   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

Agreed with wolfman above, Sasaki was such a promising prospect that a lot of people wanted to see in the UFC. A quick but equally underwhelming win over Delorme gave way to two bad losses in a row in which he was the relatively high favorite in both.

Gates has mass potential with more improvement, and I think he gets the knockout win.

I don't like that Gates is moving up for this one, not sure if he can avoid the sub.

I think Gates has all the tools needed to keep Sasaki off him and capitalize on his wild and inefficient striking to tire and KO him.

That said, the heart wants what it wants so I'm going with Yuta and praying he can take it to the ground and dominate.

Will-picking never works out for me, but it's a stupid thing I do from time to time :)

It won't be easy, but Holohan is 5'10" and he did it (barely), both are pretty skinny, but I doubt he'll not feel the cut.

I know I'm weird but if it's 125 I'm going Gates TKO, 135 and I'm sticking with my current pick.

Gates wins by sub after landing a knockdown. Will tire out Sasaki the late replacement. Might not even make it to 3rd

I'm kinda stuck in this one. I liked Sasaki pre UFC and was stoked when he rolled Delhorme (sp).

I just see his TD as kinda week and Gates is explosive and athletic. He could bounce right up or be too hard to take down with early explosive finish b

I Gambled in Gates but if Sasaki gets him down in a position of control,  Gates is proper ******.
