Oh I completly agree with you, he's lost a step and even though he may not admit it, some confidence too. I personally have a feeling that's why he's fighting so frequently, I think he want one last amazing Anderson Silva moment so he can sign off on a high note indtead of being forced out on a leg break, a mediocre win against Diaz where he tested positive or a loss to Bisping.
Hall may just turn out to be the perfect retirement fight for him and the fact that it's in Brazil will only make it sweeter.
It's hard to let go of something when you were as great as he was, let alone let it go when you're in a slump. That's why so many of the greats pick the Chuck Liddell route into retirement (until this day I feel he still wants to somehow get in there one more time to get rid of the bad taste the end of his career left him with).

Yeah I think it's that way for so many fighters. They want to continue to hold on to it and most of them seem to go out on a loss. GSP did it the right way going out on a win (although that's quite debatable), and retiring the champ. Sounds like even he doesnt want to completely give it up though and may still make a comeback.
At least Anderson isn't getting knocked out every fight and losing badly so he might as well keep it going for now.

I don't like the way GSP went out, off of a controversial "win" and didn't give a rematch. At least Silva is trying to prove he's still an all time great. I think 9 times out of 10, the ref would have stopped the Bisping fight in the 3rd round when Bisping is half knocked out and barely hobbling to his feet.

I thought silva looked much better against Mike than Nick, which makes me put a little more stock into his next performance. He'll never be the same as he was in his prime, but I think he has some more fights in him at a decent level. This next one's a fun fight on paper and he's a very intelligent guy, I think he'll hang them up at the right time. Before the bisping fight I thought he should retire, but I thought he looked good and am interested in his future again.

He looked good sure, but he threw the fight away by being overly ****y, it was infuriating.

With Hall off the card. Any chance they add this to 200?
