And the ****** up thing is that I had originally put in Wonderboy winning by 1st round KO and changed it last minute.  I'll still take the semi though.

@TheFearBanaszak, boxing pundits of the such, like Bert Sugar have been fairly open that a lot of the footwork and movement that made boxers great has been lost through the decades and footwork has gotten increasingly worse in a sense not "movement" per say but footwork. It's not "new age" like Sage Northcutt is new age(my ****) **** is largely cyclical and it just adapts to the meta around it for maximum effectiveness.

I fall asleep during the Roy/Rosholt. Good that I somehow woke up to watch that performance byWonderboy.

Uh...has Ken Flo not been paying attention to Hendricks over the past couple of years? Most people would argue the exact opposite.

Wow, amazing performance by Thompson. I think he's set up perfectly to take on Robbie Lawler, hopefully that happens, at say, 200?

Isn't it amazing, Nah Shon Burrell gave Stephen Thompson all the trouble that he did, in a 15 minute striking battle yet Johny Hendricks gets surgically removed picked apart? Maybe things are as simple as "but wrasslin" guys. But Jiu Jitsu, but Kickboxing, but Wrestling.

It is new age for mma. Mma striking has been all muay thai for many many years where there is no footwork used.  Now guys are learning that being able to move and hit angles is the difference maker. Boxers of the past did have great footwork. Nowadays they do not. Floyd is the only one and that's why Noone can beat him.

You should probably watch more boxing. Floyd is retired but he wasn't the only one who still has great footwork, there are certainly others and some with better footwork in my opinion even. Floyd is known for having amazing upper body movement anyways (Philly Shell Defense?).

Anyways, we are definitely seeing a more freeing style of movement in MMA and largely I think that's because the cage is circular or octagonal and much larger of an arena. More space and more angels to work from is one huge reason why people are adapting to striking the way they are in MMA. For instance, if you watch Raymond Daniels fight in Kickboxing he gets cornered and pummeled rinse, wash and repeat vs top guys but if you put him in an open arena, he'd spin circles around guys like Nicky Holzken. I've been saying this for years, you guys are just catching up.

I have trained this way since day 1 of my mma training. My coach has fought this way for over 20 years so it's nothing new to me. Everyone else is catching up
