I get why people are hoping for a rejuvenated Nate Diaz. However I'm not sure why people are so convinced. Did he get a new contract? His contract is so garbage. He might be the first guy where his Reebok money will be higher than his show money.

I think he's come to the realization that if he stagnates any more be won't be worth much more after his contract is done. Also I think he truly believes beats the guys above him if he's well trained. Another thing I think I picked up on was a new level of maturity, like he's finally doing it for himself and not as part of he and Nick's "war against the world".

I'm most likely reading way too much into one interview and also,  even if I'm right MJ is a bad match up for prime Diaz anyway, but **** it, I'm nowhere near winning the $500 so here's for wishful thinking ;)

As good as MJ is, Diaz has the skill-set to give him major problems, especially if this ever hits the ground. It's so crazy to me that Diaz is really a life underdog at +380, that's a underdog worth seriously considering. Diaz could match him in the boxing and SUB him and nobody should be shocked.

Ugh, if Diaz is looking like he cares again this goes from an easy pick to a hard pick. Plus Johnson has had problems with subs in the past but Lauzon and Dariush never got much of a chance to sub him so IDK if Diaz would.
