Cavalcante has good TDD and monstrous power when he lands. Cummins has good wrestling, but he won't re-create Bader/Feijao because, frankly, Bader is a better wrestler than him. I think Feijao can finish him.

It baffles me that Cummins is at 71% for picks right now, he's a good wrestler but way too one-dimensional to hang with the top guys, which I still see Cavalcante as just on the cusp of being ranked. I also question Cummins' chin, and we know Cavalcante has the power to test that.

I could see Feijoo KOing him after getting dominated for the first round.

This is one of those fights that can really go either way. Cavalcante can be a great fighter when he wants to be and every performance I have seen from Patrick Cummins has been a wonderfully underwhelming decision fights so who knows.

I actually think the bookies are straight on looking at the Money line. Cavalcante didn't look good in his last outing, and showed horrible cardio. If he doesn't get the job done after throwing some heavy haymakers in the 1st, he will be grinded out to a dec 9 out of 10 times. Cavalcante really doesn't have nothing left in the gas tank after round one. It won't surprise if Cummins already gets it to the floor within the first minute, cruising to a dec. The power that Cavalcante can produce after first round and a empty gas tank can't KO Cummins anyway, and with Cummins cardio it's an easy dec or maybe a late sub.

But if you look at Feijao's history he does pretty good against strong wrestlers, he had that one hiccup against Bader but Bader is a much more well rounded wrestler than some of the fighters he's face. Romero would probably beat Feijao today but he still put a clinic on Romero none-the-less.

Yea but is 2015 Cavalcante as dangerous, explosive and powerful as 2011 Cavalcante?   I'm not sure.

Great question I've been asking myself ever since this fight was announced. Still on the fence. Cummings can easily grind Feijao for 3 rounds, but he tends to over-commit to the takedown and his striking defense is downright awful, so one punch can change this fight's expected colouring.

Cavalcante is a dangerous person to be reliant on a wrestling game against. Just ask Lawal and Romero.

I don't think Cavalcante has looked really good since he was busted for steroids. He still has power especially early but who knows how he will do if he can't catch Cummins early.
