Does Bigfoot have a death wish or is Joe Silva an evil, sadistic bastard?

I mean, it really is hard to pick Bigfoot at this point. Retirement might be next for him.

Hmm, I think you need to take into account context or strength of schedule. Bigfoot's career record entering the UFC was 16-3 with a decision loss to Werdum and KO losses to Cormier & Eric Pele. So he had and still shows a susceptibility to be KOed but Pele is a huge HW with above average KO power even for a HW & most of his fights have been at SHW I believe and I would favor if there ever was a rematch. Since he joined the UFC, his list of opponents reads like an official top 10 list: Cain, Browne, Overeem, Hunt, Arlovski, & Mir. Now I ask you which of these guys would Soa even compete with let alone beat?

Now I wouldn't be shocked but would still consider it a significant upset if Soa won. He's actually 2 yrs older and won't have his usual size advantage. I think Bigfoot reaffirms his upper tier status with a convincing win here.

I agree that Bigfoot has fought way better fighters than Paleilei has. But in his fights since the TRT ban he's looked super slow, gotten KOed with his hands up, and in the Mir fight he looked weirdly tentative and was throwing awkward kicks and no punches. He might be completely shot.

Bigfoot hasn't looked good since his win over Fedor. Even in his two UFC "wins" he was the beneficiary of good luck. Both Browne and Overeem beat Bigfoot, at this stage, 99 times out of 100. I think I would favor every UFC HW in the top 30 over Bigfoot. A fight between Ruan Potts is Bigfoot's speed right now. Currently he's just a name that can be used to build up other fighters. I just don't know why the UFC would that remaining rub on a guy like Palelei.

Bigfoot vs. Big Country would have been better imo.

Bigfoot vs. Big Country

or

Bigfoot vs. Cro-Cop

Either would of been my chose over this fight. Bigfoot has been KO'd bad in last two fights so there really isn't a reason they need to rush Bigfoot back in there so soon.

In his last 8 fights he's been KOed 5 times, and had that war with Mark Hunt. Toss a little giantism on top of it. Bigfoot probably isn't going to be doing so good in 10 years from now.
