You guys really think so?I thought Glover looked like he aged 10 years in his last fight,he was terribly slow and looked absolutely awful.I don't have the time to go through the roster, see who's booked/injured and say who would have been a better fight so I can't complain. This fight doesn't interest me much and i'm the type that usually loves every match up.Hopefully Glover has fixed whatever issues he had and looks like his old self.

People are hating WAYYYYYY too much on Glover Teixeira's performance against Phil Davis, because I personally thought that he did much better than what the stats show. Davis just wore on the guy, and completely smothered him.

My personal problem with picking this fight is with Gustafsson's showing against Rumble. Gustafsson's stock was boosted after doing well against Jones, but people need to remember that his style of boxing doesn't work nearly as well against shorter guys.

I think Glover's going to cause Gustafsson a lot more problems than people think, just because of what he excels in. Glover's excellent in close quarters (though Jon Jones ******* SCHOOLED him at that in what I consider to be one of the most impressive fights of his career) and Gustafsson doesn't really play the distance game very well so in my personal opinion, this fight is a total crapshoot.

I'd probably pick Gustafsson in the end, but don't get it twisted people; Glover has a very real shot at winning.

I thought Phil vs. Glover was an easy fight to call regardless of Glover being a 3 to 1 favorite because of the style matchup.

Gus can't do what Phil did so there's really no comparison between the two fights as @anik said.  It'll all come down to if Glover abandons combos for the Hendo method he has been known to resort to because if he doesn't land that one shot, Gus will pepper him relentlessly by sticking to the gameplan.  If Glover can successfully attack the body early it becomes about a coin-flip imo as it'll keep the output of the two closer as the fight goes on, giving Glover way more opportunities than if Gus just outpaces him with more combos and better head movement/footwork as the fight progresses via technique deteriorating slower as one would expect to be the case if Glover can't dig to the body early.  First round is extremely important for Glover.  Stranger things have happened in Germany.  <----Don't take the bait.

I don't think Glover stands much of a chance in this one, other than the "punchers chance" of course. He is flat out not as good as people have thought. I never thought he was as amazing as people made him out to be. His best wins are an old Rampage and Ryan Bader...in a fight where Bader almost KOd him lol. If you really pay attention to Glover and his striking style he is a glorified slugger. He is in love with Mike Tyson but does not do even 25% of what Tyson did because all he sees are big punch KOs and thinks that's what striking is all about. He doesn't understand Tyson's defense or how he set up his KOs. /rant

Gus wins this one rather easily getting back in the title picture.

Alexander Gustafsson only loses to explosive athletes like Phil Davis, Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson. He will destroy these hard workers like Glover, Hammil and Matyushenko all day though.

I think Glover is going to get boxed absolutely up. His boxing is overrated even when he at his best. He also very slow compared to many of the other top fighters in the LHW division, let alone against Gus who the fastest. I don't think this fight going to be close at all. Glover will look dangerous because of his strength and power, but he going to get absolutely dominated striking.

Glover has the power to hurt Gus and he also has the ground game to submit him. Not sure why everyone thinks this is a easy win for Gus.

Because Gus has a massive speed advantage. He a way better striker and has a massive reach advantage. His boxing is also leaps and bounds superior to Glover. Plus Glover gets tagged quite often and has been hurt several times in recent fights.
