It won't be easy, him being sponsored by Dethrone and all.

Josh Grispi could be an interesting fight, but I think he's slightly outclassed on the feet, and doesn't have top-level wrestling to put Aldo on his back.  Maybe Chad Mendes... because of the wrestling... but he's still pretty one-dimensional in MMA.

I dunno, we might be seeing the Aldo reign for a long time.

grispi is the closest.  but being closest doesn't mean you're close.  i see aldo on top for a while.

Grispi is the closest as he's pretty explosive himself (not like ALdo, but then who is?) I think Grispi also has the frame to possibly pick up some early rounds until Aldo figures out his striking/style ala how he closed out Manvil in the 2nd with that short right hand.

Bibiano is too compact, the reach would be disastrous for him, Omigawa has faltered against guys FAR less dangerous than Aldo, Hioki would get KO'd. Hominick would actually make for a competitive fight as he has a good chin, diverse striking, good defense and is patient enough to avoid getting caught early I believe. but again, he doesn't have the skills to get Aldo down, hell, even Brown who has taken down the likes of Urijah and others didn't even come close to getting Aldo down.

hominick would be interesting to see.  i don't think he has the power in his hands to make aldo respect him.  and garcia was landing leg kicks on hominick with ease -- if that was aldo landing those leg kicks the fight would be over by the second round.

How the Hell is Manny Gamburyan #1 on the consensus rankings at FW. that doesn't even make sense. The guy was destroyed by Aldo. I don't think it could even be questioned. Is it a glitch or something?

Yeah Gamburyan obviously should not be #1. The rankings are based off of everyone's individual rankings that they make, and a couple people probably left Aldo off of their lists.  We'll be tweaking it so that it does a better job figuring out which user lists to include.

I think Tyson is sitting around 13th on mine. He'll move into the top 10 with another win.

I need to update my rankings, but I think Chad Mendes is Aldo's biggest threat.

havent updated mine yest but I wouldnt mine seeing Hatsu Hioki defeat Aldo. Hioki would also be a humble champion. I wouldnt want it to be someone like Joe Warren. Also, with time, Patricio Freire could be a legit contender. Too soon for him though.

Florian has the best chance. I hope Aldo destroys him though.
